SO ABOUT THAT AU I PROMISED IF I GOT ENOUGH ATTENTION
Finally gave it a proper name too-
Silly basics - The au is mainly about Sam kinda like noir Sam in the devils playhouse and Max already being an eldritch creature. Sam in this au grew up alone and didn’t have a proper partner until he went on a case to stop some cultists and Max was summoned and Sam stopped him ANNNDDD they made a deal and now they violently make out.
Sam - Sam is a tough hardcore kinda guy, he’s cold and smart. He has trust issues and is kinda fucked up. Though around Max he acts more like his canonical counterpart, he’s more cheery and more likely to make jokes and take things less seriously. He has a soft spot for his kids and he’s more gentle around them.
Max - Not much to say, He’s almost the exact same but like a spooky elder god. From the dark dimension he came from he wasn’t super popular considering he was more or less one of the weaker gods there. But he was an evil malicious rampaging god of destruction until Sam stopped him and he became Sam’s partner in kicking crimes ass. He lacks the awareness of social cues with mortals and what not however since he hasn’t really seen what humans go through.
I’ll write up more detail how they met later but YIPPPEEEEE

Switching Accounts
Hi there to like the few who follow me and anyone who stumbles across this account in the future!
This is just to let people know I have now switched over to @realsolelyhours
Now I know that you may be asking why I decided to do this. Well, I have a few reasons. If you can’t tell by how poorly made and outdated my update post was, it’s been so long since I was last active on this account that not only has my taste in content changed but also me as a person. I am no joke a legal adult now and I started this account when I was 15-16. I think it would be in my best interest if I had a clean slate to post on.
However, I don’t want to delete this account either because this account was mostly from a bygone era. It’s fun and surreal to look back on who I was back then. I don’t really wanna ever get rid of a Time Capsule like that.
So yeah…. So long @realsquiphours. It wasn’t a very thorough ride since I hardly posted but it’s been a memorable one. I hope to see you all on the other account :)

Wanderlust and Lost Legacy have a precocious little unicorn named Gilded Grimoire, who has an innate talent for researching historical texts and ancient spells! She grows up to be stunningly beautiful, and though she has no interest in romance, she has hundreds of suitors.
Lost Legacy does a good job of scaring them off, though!

EHEHEHEHEEHE REMEMBER HOW IN THAT POST I SAID I WOULD ELABORATE BUT IT WOULD JUST TAKE ME LIKE TEN THOUSAND YEARS
WELL-
But okay I have a few reasons actually!!!
To begin with, Hiyoko’s love of traditional Japanese culture would vibe really well with Korekiyo’s appreciation of culture in general! They would have a lot to talk about!!! It’s also probably really exciting for Hiyoko to have someone who’s willing to listen to her say things like “traditional things are better than modern things” and not have them argue with her about it, but instead actually fully appreciate what she’s trying to convey!!!
They’re both catty queers with a cool fashion sense. Like they’ll insult you, but they’ll do it accurately. Absolutely scathing. They’re a good pair ❤️

Korekiyo’s not phased by her insults! He knows enough about human behavior to basically clock that it’s essentially a defense mechanism for her, and he’s used to comments on his physical appearance/personality being referred to as “creepy” and the like, so there’s basically no risk of her scaring them away.
On the flip side, Hiyoko TOTALLY thought it was creepy that Shinguji’s favorite pastime is people watching (and she likely called him names for it/insulted them/etc.), but as soon as they had their first conversation she immediately realized “oh wait the things they’re talking about are super interesting actually”
Almost everyone that knows Hiyoko will look at Shinguji and go “hey how are you dealing with her without wanting to rip your hair out” and he’s just “her and kokichi seem to be cut from the same cloth. The only difference between them is the fact that she, quite surprisingly, is not almost causing someone’s death 24/7”
And Hiyoko gets very protective. Like the way she refers to Mahiru as “big sis mahiru” in canon is basically what happens here - she begins to view them as someone important to her (because it’s really hard for her to make friends!!! So when Korekiyo is willing to show her kindness and compassion in light of her own lack of those two things, it means a hell of a lot to her!!!) So whenever she hears someone commenting about how Kiyo is “weird” or “creepy,” she gets pissy about it and makes a scene!! She gets defensive! They’re the only person other than Mahiru that she’s willing to do this for!
OUGH,,,,,SORRY I JUST HAD THE THOUGHT OF SOMEONE BEING LIKE “but Hiyoko has such an ugly personality….” AND KIYO RESPONDING WITH THEIR WHOLE “but even the ugliest parts of humanity are beautiful.” THING. BECAUSE THEY UNDERSTAND THE COMPLEXITY OF HUMAN FEELING, TRAUMA, AND EXTERNAL BEHAVIOR AND I’M JUST,,,,,,AGSHDBSNDBNNM
