I'm getting real sick of TV shows being 8-10 episodes long, because do people realize how much more you can flesh out a story and its characters and go on a proper detailed journey with 21 eps, rather than with 8 eps where you have only 2 minutes to focus on anything before having to jump to the next thing because of run time constraints??

I swear since this shorter TV show formula was implemented I have begun to enjoy TV shows less and less because they always feel so rushed and incomplete like I'm missing half the story or I haven't had enough time to get properly invested in what I'm watching. yes I want to consume media but i do actually want to enjoy and savor the experience and go on a journey that lasts less than half a day.

Lessons in Chemistry

if you have a limited amount of episodes (8-9 ish maybe) to adapt an entire book WHY in gods name would you throw out half the story beats or cut them short and replace them with multiple new completely new plot lines that take up so much time. Not to also mention completely changing characters and existing book scenes that were perfect as they were and did not need changing. I was looking forward to this show but it feels like only half of the book is in there and I'm not sure i have the energy to keep watching it since I'm becoming more disappointed.

Just to clarify I loved the first 3 episodes and all the casting, and was hopeful that the rest would be just as good but just more and more changes keep happening and changing it into a story that I recognise less and less.

Really love the live action despite knowing absolutely butt all about One Piece, but instead of making me wanna watch the anime, I’ve ordered the first 7 volumes of the manga to pick up at my local library 😆😆

What is wrong with me? I really dislike that particular accent (south London? Roadman?) accent but Sanji has me kicking my feet and all giggly in the live action.

I don’t like strange new worlds coz they’ve already twice made a pair of characters have romantical chemistry with each other but then gone “hehe fr tho u know nothing much can happen since this tv show is a prequel” ☹️
