Is Ashleel from Season 13 of 'Bigg Boss'? Here are 5 key moments to consider while you make your decision
Bigg Boss season 13 has commuters, the not-so-friendly neighborhood aunty, the kirana store wale uncle, and even coworkers dreaming. Although it's only natural for one of India's most popular shows to be the subject of passionate debate, Twitter has taken it a step further, with people divided into two camps: those who adore the show and see no reason for it to be canceled, and those who believe it should be.
A closer examination of the show's substance revealed a few of the most problematic instances, which we've listed below for you to evaluate.
1. A Woman Sharing Her Bed with a Stranger
Since its inception, the show has been dubbed obscene for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is the fact that the female competitors would be forced to share a bed with complete strangers. Twitter erupted after a candidate from Kashmir, Asim Riaz, was supposedly forced to share his bed with Mahira Sharma, a Brahmin lady. Others claim that this section of the show preached "love jihad" and threatened the fragile balance of the country's religious views (read: religious divide).
The image circulating on the internet, however, appears to be from a prior season of the show. The shot includes former finalists Keith Sequeira and Rochelle Rao. So, don't worry, the phoren civilization hasn't yet made its way into our holy country.

2. Mouth-to-Mouth
Actress Ameesha Patel made her debut appearance on the show in one of the earliest seasons, and while she didn't stay long, she made life a little more difficult for the contestants. Salman Khan appointed Ameesha as the home's maalkin, and she directed the participants to collect rations for the house with their lips and pass them on to one another, eventually collecting everything in a bowl. While the contestants enjoyed the challenge, the audience was less enthusiastic.
3. Ameesha Patel's Show Appearance Is Enough
The arrival of Ameesha Patel on the show, followed by her quick exit (after being proclaimed maalkin for no apparent reason), received a lot of attention. Though it's unclear why the show was called ashleel by Twitterati, viewers assumed Ameesha paid to appear on the broadcast, and that the station and show's producers were too cheap to allow it.
4. Is Sidharth Shukla's remark sexist?
A bunch of female candidates have been pointing fingers at Sidharth Shukla after his bold display of chauvinism during the Hospital Task in the building. The TV personality has been accused of allocating female competitors’ sensitive parts in order to make winning easier. Sidharth's opinions on women, on the other hand, have divided Twitter after he was shown (in the same episode) applauding female candidates, saying, "Girls are tougher than a man to withstand the agony, ladkiya any day ladko se jyada pain le sakti hai." Maramaari karne lag jaate hai, maramaari karne lag jaate hai, ladke to maramaari karne lag jaate hai. "The girls did a fantastic job," he stated on the show, "and they totally deserve to win." Sidharth's team later posted the footage to his Instagram account:
5. When Koena Mitra brought up the issue of nepotism and was turned down by Salman
During the second week of the season, Salman chatted with the competitors on Weekend Ka Vaar. During this conversation, Devoleena Bhattacharjee begins chatting about another candidate Koena Mitra. According to Devoleena, Koena and the other housemates had a lengthy discussion about nepotism. Salman Khan not only defends her, but also refers to her as "mohalley ki aunty" in response. Fans of the show not only branded Salman a jerk for what he did to Koena, but they also tagged him in ageist tweets. Read more about Desi Serial.

This is why the reality show 'Bigg Boss' should be dismissed
'Bigg Boss' is the whole package: a cringe-fest of a show, a case study in human behavior, and a test bed for the temperament and emotional ability of (controversial) celebrities as they are forced to survive without the comforts of home. Salman Khan's movie hits are even played on a monthly jukebox. It's an odd exhibition. Where else can you witness folks getting out of bed and listening to happy music? And where else can you observe a society vice's elite normalization and trivialization? Anupama
Sexist remarks, conflicts, backbiting, and misogyny are almost as common on Twitter as they are on the television show. So much so that, at a time when India is mourning the Hathras gangrape case, a slumping economy, and a new coronavirus, 'Bigg Boss' and its current and former participants dominate top Twitter topics. Read this article for more info about Bigg Boss 15.
Sidharth Shukla, the show's thirteenth and most competitive season champion, has a legion of SidHearts who make it a point to trend hashtags in his name virtually every day. They serve as a safety net, always ready to protect their idol, even when he goes crazy with his aggression.
Tumblr media
Another well-known contender, Shehnaaz Kaur Gill, is a close friend (or so we think) of Sidharth. 'Shehnaazians,' as her fans are known, are still fighting SidHearts. Because of the tag 'SidNaaz,' this can be explained. On Twitter, users as young as 12-13 years old compete to prove who, amongst Sidharth and Shehnaaz, "used" the other during the show's run. Despite the fact that the two actors have always vouched for their unshakable bond and friendship, Sidharth's followers call Shehnaaz by vulgar names, while Shehnaaz's supporters call Sidharth by disgusting names.
Even the SidNaazians can't win. The only ones that lose are Sidharth and Shehnaaz. The 'Bigg Boss 14' fraud came soon after the TV TRP fake. According to reports, the producers of the voyeuristic show sought to leverage on the previous season's success and urged Shukla to liven up the otherwise uninteresting bunch by adding spice and 'something good.'
Hina Khan, Season 11's runner-up, and Gauahar Khan, Season 7's winner, were both welcomed as'seniors.' And then something unexpected happened. Gauahar developed a friendship with Sidharth, the same boy she had been bashing on Twitter all season. The hashtag #SidHina was born after Sidharth and Hina made a fool of themselves.
However, when a video of Hina throwing shade at Shuklajee became public at the end of their run, the hashtag met a terrible end. On the other hand, Sidharth remained the same. He screamed at loud levels, fought like his S13 self, flirted like a pro, and screamed like a pro. In the early weeks of the show's run, his debut on Bigg Boss 14 enhanced TRPs, and the channel gave him an unceremonious send-off for the same reason. And there are more people looking at it.
As people get more curious, the number of social media battles will rise. That is exactly what happened. Some "blue ticks" on Twitter stood up for the Khan couple after a contestant, Rubina Dilaik, shouted "women strength" on television β€” on a subject that had nothing to do with gender. Bigg Boss sided with Hina and Gauahar once more after Sidharth's team lost a task owing to "bahumat" (read: majority).
