☀⛱ days 18-20 of the summer studying challenge! ☀⛱
18th July - How do you stay motivated during the summer? (for example, to study)
i am honestly infinitely MORE motivated to study in the summer because i'm way less stressed! that being said, creating structure is so important for me (figuring out a daily/weekly schedule, setting alarms and reminders, et cetera) and getting a friend to hold me accountable helps!
19th July - Do you stay indoors or outdoors more in the summer?
i really flip-flop... i love staying in the AC in a big sweater and long pants and then going outside, lying on the concrete, and warming up like a cold-blooded lizard for a few minutes, but i also love swimming and camping, so who knows
20th July - Are you a ‘summer person’?
i'm not NOT a summer person, it's just that allergy season (in the spring for me) gets longer and stays later every year and fire season (late summer/early fall) gets longer and comes earlier every year, so there's not a huge chunk of time where i can go outside and still be able to breathe hahaha........ yeah. climate change am i right 😬 i'm really more a fall/winter person

Today went soooo much better than yesterday! 🥰
I finally managed to make my social protection subject make sense and I have a plan I am happy with. I switched back to my dissertation for today but I will probably spend the weekend working on my exam (that is Monday and so stressing me out).
I felt like I would go insane if I didn’t go out so I went out to get myself cinnamon buns (this is me investing to fuel my productivity). Honestly the weather is so bad rn, I was lucky to get like an hour of non-rain to enjoy.
I have picked up this book that I was supposed to read it for one of my classes back in my first year of uni and never did but I think I finally have the maturity to be interested in the topic so I’ll give it another try!

Q. Do you have a favorite book series?
A. That’s like asking a parent their favorite child??? But if I was to choose, I would go for Chronicles of Ancient Darkness. It’s the first series that I read as a teenager and seeing it ignited my passion of book series, I think it deserves the title of my favorite one!

I’m going to start a ‘journal’ for my bachelor thesis process to see how I’m going to do over a longer period of time. Another post about it is going to be uploaded soon. Let me just say that I finally feel ready for doing this. My student exchange has given me tools to work on such a long paper and completely in English, plus some research papers have been published this year which turn out to be very useful. Cheers to graduating before the end of this year!
