Dude it is SO FUN and EXCITING to see a reoccurring reader. If you've commented a handful of times on an author's work, I guarantee that they recognize you. You can't imagine how many times I've excitedly informed my friends "the person with the funny cat image commented!" "- anon is back!!!!" and the friends've recognized who I was talking about because I talk about my commenters so often LOL. We love you all!!!

We should share movie lists! I was recently forced to make one to give to my Gen Z and younger coworkers because I communicate via movie quote references A LOT. I finally dropped a line that no one recognized and I officially felt like an old fart for the first time in my life. Seriously, a part of my soul died. Then I gave them all homework so they would stop thinking I'm weird and learn to appreciate the classics.

Based on many of your recent posts and a lot of your art I want to commend you on your fantastic taste in movies. I'm a huge sucker for movie references, so watching you combining movies with Zelink art is literally my dream come true because it's 99% of my head-canon. I bet you could hold a conversation using only movie quotes. :) Oh wait, I'm supposed to ask a question: What's your favorite John Carpenter movie?

Oh snap, a fellow cinephile!! 🤜💥🤛 Well thank you for noticing! I "might" be a movie addict who "maybe" went traditional animation school 😉 I am extremely influenced and inspired by cinema of all genre, some shots and scenes are just burned in my brain. It's also one of the reasons most of my drawings are in 16:9 ratio. I often try to catch the emotions and feels of movie scenes...Example: Link on his knees ugly crying while the light dragon flies over him? I thought of the energy and vibe of crying Leo in the desert from Romeo+Juliet 1996 while drawing it (I have a lot of personal attachment to this particular film, but that's another topic) Your comment inspires me to do other direct redraws. I had so much fun with Blade Runner 2049 last week... OK!!! So, fav John Carpenter movie you ask, hmmm? Funny you assumed I was a Carpenter fan.... Are you familiar with this little movie, "Big Trouble in Little China?" 😉

A page from my post-Botw Zelink comic. Each chapter covers key moments of my headcanon. I don't think my comic is super revolutionary in terms of story because there is so much fan content out there and im super classic and vanilla... but i dont care. I'm having fun creating my own take on what happened. This project is a time consuming blackhole and I draw it all out of order because I have no discipline whatsoever 😭 😂 It was originally just random black and white pages here and there with no cohesions, like my stand alone illustrations... but the illustrations became pages. The project is basically me fan-servicing my own self. 😂😂

Then it exploded, i've been adding color, cleaning up my panels, pimping the backgrounds.

I still unsure on which platform i will make it available to read. The friends who got my out of my shipping closet are screaming to me to print a fanzine, but i'm lazy hahaha. Might do a patreon eventually, idk.

Oh yeah, this is a panel from the chapter where Zelda and Link go back to Korok forest to put the Master Sword back in it's pedestal... I'm old, i played the old games. One of my BotW nitpics was that it didnt include the classic moment where the sword rests once again, like in ALttP and OoT. I like traditions okay!!!! Cheers!!!

I headcanon that after the "The Dragon's Tears" and "Crisis at Hyrule Castle" quests, Link's behavior is so erratic and self-destructive that Purah and the sages strap him to chair and make an INTERVENTION!! They are WORRIED!! 😢 Poor Link misses Zelda so much💔💔💔

The Promise, Chapter 12

"Link! Stop being such a crybaby!" Zelda shouted and pressed him back onto the settee she had claimed for a sickbed before they had even had a chance to settle into the little hunting lodge. Begrudgingly, he lay still as she smeared more of her dubious paste on his bruised skin. The paste, mashed together from a variety of herbs she had picked on the way, prickled uncomfortably and he really didn’t want the mess any closer to his eye.

Link groaned and squinted at Ganondorf with his good eye for help, but he only leaned against the doorframe with crossed arms and shook his head in amusement. The hunting lodge was small, not more than a handful of rooms, so their bedroom had to serve multiple purposes: sleeping quarters, sitting room, and now, infirmary.

“I don't know, mate, you could be a bit braver about it,” Ganondorf said and grinned like someone who wouldn't trade places with Link's for anything in the world.

“Traitors, both of you,” Link murmured. He adjusted his position on the settee into something more comfortable and sighed.

One last kiss before leaving for a quick quest! ♥ Link is helping out the Monster Control Crew today :) With the Demon King gone, there are no more Blood Moons. It's time to clean up Hyrule and Link volunteered to help. Zelda is proud of her boyfriend. They'll have pizza when he gets back ♥ Cheers!

A commission idea, for anyone who's a Big Trouble and BotW/TotK fan

Saw a picture posted a few weeks ago of TotK Zelda dressed in what looked like a traditional Chinese wedding dress, which gave me an idea after I recently re-watched my favorite John Carpenter movie, Big Trouble in Little China. Zelda has green eyes, Link has long hair, and we have an archetypal "wise old master" in Impa. All the ingredients are here for: Utilizing the movie poster art for general layout, have Link as Jack Burton, in that cut off shirt with the Japanese sun motif on it and his hair back in a mullet, jeans, and the master sword instead of his knife. Zelda dressed up in the dress for Lo Pan's wedding behind him as Gracie Law, Impa as Egg-Shen with the Six Demon Bag, Kohga as one of the Storms in that basket hat, and Ganondorf as Lo Pan looming in the background. Title: Big Trouble in Little Hateno.
