Yasur's post about Lloyd vs. Egalt's teaching methods little earlier reminded me of this, but I'm making a separate post since it's not really entirely related, and I'm probably restating a few of her points anyways:
The thing that had me grinding my teeth in Dragons Rising s2 was the fact that, like... Egalt wasn't actually wrong. I do think that Arin would have benefit a lot from going back to first fang and learning the basics! Egalt was just a MASSIVE ASSHOLE about it. Like I imagine the audience was meant to, I didn't really like Egalt too much until Wyldfyre gave a new perspective on his whole "wasting my time" shtick, but even before that I had to admit that he was actually right about that.
Of course, even if he HAD been nice about it, there's still a good chance that Arin still would have been to deep in the "everyone's relying on me" pit for it to do anything, but still. Worth a shot.
If you were a Formling your animal form would be a chicken. If you got your animal form and it turned out to not be a chicken, you’d probably disappear on the night and reappear years later with an ice dictator.
LITERALLYY its already unfair enough that i cant do a cool backflip to instantly change into a chicken on command in real life so if the opportunity was there as a formling and i ended up STILL not being able to do that . im pulling up with the ice emperor this world is too cruel and evil to exist freezes u freezes u freezes u
I think Zane likes Coles bad cooking bc Zanes just doesn't have the ability to taste bad. Like it's not something he can register. He understands flavor and knows how to put together a 5 star Michelin meal, but Coles food to him is also good. He mostly registers Flavor, so Coles overseasoned charred dry chicken registers really High on the flavor scale vs Jay's spaghetti sauce out of a jar
This isn't necessarily "Canon" since I'm not confident in anything I design actually holding up and because I like the usual Snake Jaguar jacket, but I wanted to do these jokes and it needed a conclusion. So I made him pink :)
Sometimes I think about saying more wild stuff in hopes of getting more hate mail (enrichment), but then I remember that nothing I could receive would ever, ever surpass that one time that someone was so mad at me they went ahead and animated a video of themself killing me by burning me to death and then posted it. I will be chasing that high for the rest of my life
HAPPY S2 RELEASE !! HERE'S A LAZY COMIC I DREW FOR MY B-DAY AND SWIFTLY FORGOT TO FINISH ! ALSO I WROTE LIKE THREE PAGES FOR MY FIC TODAY SO I'M HOPING THE NEXT CHAPTER IS ALMOST ALMOST ALMOST READY 👍
The writers understood that Season 11's second half was a big hit so for Dragons Rising they took that plot and split it in half so Kai and Jay could share
What if instead of waiting for the next blood moon to try and get them out we just seal all of the sixteen realms inside of Nether-Space so that Kai and Bonzle don't get lonely
I know that Shatterspin is supposed to be unbeatable by anything except the Rising Dragon technique, but like, come on. It’s been a REALLY long time, we’ve made a lot of advancements since the last time Shatterspin was a thing. I think maybe we should at least try, say, a really big anvil. Or maybe a gun.
I'm going to be watching Dragons Rising Season 2 here pretty soon, so as a fair warning I'm going to be tagging all spoilers from the aforementioned season "Dragons Rising Season 2 Spoilers". If you don't want to see any, filter that tag now.
Sticks a really long curly straw through your window in the middle of the night and slurks your element out, but puts it back before you wake up so you're none the wiser before running off with my new powers that aren't AS cool as shooting fire out of your hands, but are wayy cooler than whatever anyone else in my neighborhood has going on.
I'm personally a big fan of the headcanon that elemental powers tend to have passive secondary abilities tied to them (For example, Zane's prophetic visions, or Cole's increased strength) and I am also a fan of the headcanon that these passive abilities don't necessarily go away once you've passed on your element naturally. Just the ability to control the actual element itself.
Of course, what this brings to mind is the concept of a villain (or even just a mildly antagonistic side character) who keeps stealing everyone's elements Kai-style, only to immediately give them back (baffling everyone) because they're only interested in amassing as many side-abilities as possible. A respectable amount of power with significantly smaller of a target painted on one's back!
