this showed up in my FB memories, the lightning bolt trick! I don't sketch out the lightning bolt much nowadays but it's still super helpful when I need to lay out tricky arms and leg poses. And I still apply the logic of it, especially with how I draw arms :' ) Biggest thing it helps with is shape breakdown and visualization, we gotta use whatever works to break down shapes into simpler concepts for our brains 👏💓

I wanted to draw something for @chez-cinnamon real world AU so I made Emerald in this AU.
Note: Emerald and her siblings are human in this AU I wanted to be a bit different with my approach with my WH OCs then them just being puppets.
Note 2: The Waltz siblings backstory does involve family member passing and neglectful parent
Emerald and her siblings (I'll show later when I get to them) help Fionn since they live relatively close by (their father used to work with Fionn and Cassidy back in the day). Emerald is described as the mother figure of the siblings due to her kind but stern personality even though she is the second eldest. Emerald and her siblings don't really get along with their father mainly because he's greedy and neglectful, their mother though past away when Kore the youngest was 3 days old. Emerald would get along with Howdy, Frank, and Eddie the most, even encourage them to start going out with each other (she's very open minded) and she likes hanging out with Sally. I want to add more but I want to keep it short because I'm going to draw more at some point.

Introducing my Welcome Home AU: Van Helsing Au, I've created this Au 6 days ago since I finally managed to draw them, I've seen AUs of Wally mostly so I wanted to do a different way, I made Eddie, Howdy and Frank the main protagonists in this AU, this Au takes place after Van Helsing and it's around 1836, where Howdy leads Frank and Eddie to Transylvania to hunt down monsters and to keep the nearby villages safe, they seem like ordinary monster hunters but they are actually vampires, their eyes glow blue when their vampire powers are showing.
Howdy is the leader, Eddie is the muscle and Frank is the navigator and smart one, they live in the castle near the Transylvania mountains. Frank had his own study room of where he reads scrolls and books about magic and spells even Transylvania history. Eddie has his own weapons room while Howdy owns a throne room.
