There was a moment where it felt like a free fall, that there was something horrible and old and alien bleeding in from the periphery, infecting the machine, him, screaming the way metal ripping apart from metal does while birds chirped, unaware. Desmond shakes his head, and Shaun doesn't push, but his hand settles on Desmond's knee and he's grateful for it.

ngl I still like writing AssCreed fic in the year 2023. the bleeding effect has a lot of potential as a kind of locus for overlapping griefs and traumas. also like. man. the underlying horror tones of Assassin's Creed were so fucking good. augh. AUGH

also do you ever think about how Shaun's work station is closest to where they have the Animus 3.0 set up. I spend a lot of time thinking about this, especially in a broader context of the dynamic between all four in the modern day sequences.

and finally: a deeply unserious follow up comic. the impending sense of tragic finality in AC3 would really cut down the time they could have spent discussing this kind of thing, but that's not going to stop me from thinking about it at length!

There were a lot of AC asks for this.. and the answer is probably a bit obvious.  Desmond is the reason I look forward to and utterly dread AC3 at the same time.    

Drawing sleepy shit instead of just going to bed?  It makes all kinds of sense.
