It's incredible to me what a huge postive force OFMD has become in my life.
Just on its own, OFMD is a damn good show. You can turn on any episode and you're gonna have a good time. It's got great characters, fun layers to analyze, and on top of that it's really fucking funny. It's a comforting show to watch no matter what mood you're in.
And it has such good themes and messages! It encourages me to act more like myself and love more openly and enthusiastically! This show has, by miles, done more for my self-acceptance than years of therapy. It means so much to me, and it encourages me to treat myself with more compassion as I work towards a life I want to live. OFMD looks you in the eyes and it says it's never too late, you're lovable, and don't you forget it.
As if the show itself wasn't enough, the fandom! Sure, every fandom has its bad spots, but in my little corner here? Things are pretty great. I love checking out everyone's art and fics and sharing mine. This is such a talented, supportive space! I know that no matter how stressful things are I can pop on here for a bit to play in this space with everyone.
Just grateful, tonight, for having this show in my life. I'm glad I'm here in this space with you all.

Another AO3 app that's pretending to be official when it's not (or at least isn't making it clear its unofficial.) They're using AO3's name and logo, and embedding ads.
There is no official AO3 app
Someone else is gathering your data, potentially your log in information etc and making use of it how they please. (They say they're not but their privacy policy says otherwise)
They are making money from the ads without the fic writer's consent.
They've also rated it Pegi 3 (which is ludicrous)
Please, even if you care about nothing else, for the safety of your data, please don't use this app. Certainly don't give it your AO3 log in details.
I've told AO3 that it's infringing on its copyright. I will be requesting they remove access of my work as I do not consent to my creative content being used to generate ad revenue for them.
I will be reporting it as incorrectly rated.
The only email address I can find is [email protected] which is included in their privacy policy, and [email protected] as their developer.

About the AO3 "No Guest Comments for a while" warning
If you're not following any of AO3's social media accounts you might be in the dark as to what kind of "spam comments" have engendered this banner at the top of the site:
These spam comments have been posted about a great deal on the AO3 subreddit for the past couple of days. Initially they comprised a bunch of guest (logged out users) bot comments that insulted authors by suggesting they were using AI and not writing their own fics. Some examples, from the subreddit:
But it then escalated to outright graphic porn images and gifs being posted in comments, again by logged out 'Guest' accounts. Obviously, I'm not going to give examples of those, but between these two bot infestations, AO3 has clearly decided to act and has temporarily closed the ability to post comments for users who are not logged in with an AO3 account.
Unfortunately, this means that genuine readers who don't have an AO3 account won't be able to leave comments on fics that they enjoy.
If you are a genuine reader who doesn't yet have an AO3 account, I strongly suggest getting yourself on the waiting list for one. More and more AO3 authors are now locking their fics down to registered users only - either due to these bot comments or concerns about AI scraping their work - which means you're probably missing out on a lot of great stuff.
Hopefully guest commenting will be enabled again at some point soon, but I suggest not waiting until then. Get yourself on that list.
Wait times are going to be longer than usual at the moment, due to the current Wattpad purge [info on Fanlore | Wattpad subreddit thread], but if you're in line, then your invite will come through eventually.

Question for other trans guys who write and read fanfics that I've been wondering about lately -
When you're reading and writing explicit scenes, what words to describe other trans men do you find most comfortable/uncomfortable? And is it different from how you refer to yourself?
Like, for me, I never use more "feminine" words (for lack of a better catch-all way to describe them, words like clit, cunt, pussy, etc.) to describe my own body because they make me feel dysphoric, but I typically don't mind it when I read them in fics about trans guys. I usually default to using masculine terms (cock/dick instead of clit, etc.) when writing sex scenes, though.
I'm just curious about what other guys find most comfortable when reading and writing!
No "see results" option because I don't want that to fill up the answers, sorry!
Please do clarify in the comments/tags - I'm really curious about this!

As much as we all know Ed's mental health would be greatly improved by the chance to bury his face in the stiddies, I think Stede would really benefit from some time to bury his face in Ed's tummy.
Like. Ed has a super cute tummy to begin with. 10/10. It's soft, he's got a cute little happy trail. Wonderful. But what if he's a bit ticklish there. And after a rough day, they're snuggling, Stede adjusts and buries his face in the tummy, and Ed's giggling and petting his hair and going "awwww baaaabe" and it's just so sweet and soft and domestic. I think that would turn Stede's mood right around.

I love Matilda because it's a story about a child who sees injustice around her and gets mad about it and questions why things aren't fair, and instead of the ending being that she learns how the world works and that life isn't fair, she catapults one of the adults who abused her out of a building with her mind
