Here's an extremely detailed guide on what to do if you have covid that includes how long to isolate for, how to set up your house with hepa filters and ventilation, what supplies to have on hand, when to go to the hospital, and guidelines on how to pace from the MEAction Network in the event you end up with long covid:
The work these guys are doing is amazing. They're still tracking wastewater data too so you can still figure out transmission levels in your area and not just the hospitalization levels. Check them out!

I'm reading about how Israel, in the immediate aftermath of the 1948 Nakba, deliberately replaced olive trees and other indigenous flora with European plants. This ecological disaster, which is now proudly hailed under the banner of 'making the desert bloom,' was done to 'de-Arabize' the landscape, and to cover up - often with fast-growing European pine trees -the ruins of Palestinian villages that were destroyed by Zionists forces.
And I just need everyone to read this passage from Pappé, because the symbolism of what happened to those European pine trees in the desert speaks for itself:

Yesterday, thousands of Israeli and American soldiers tried to infiltrate Gaza at three different points while over 100 warplanes bombed Gaza.
During the battles, we got updates from the Palestinian freedom fighters showing that the IDF and the American special forces were struggling to advance into Gaza despite the surprise attack. Even before the fighting ended, Israeli media was bitterly disappointed at the performance of the so called 'strongest army in the Middle East.'
Today, we've gotten confirmation from the PFLP that the zionist army had failed to gain a foothold in Gaza
You can tell this is true because the IDF isn't bragging about winning the 'ground incursion' (note- not invasion) of Gaza.
Instead, it has gone back to threatening the civilians of Gaza while attempting (and failing) to look heroic in the eyes of the West

There are different-level ecoregional maps for each state too--
--and some species only occur in the wild within unique subregions. For example, there's a Brazos mint, or rattlesnake flower, that only grows in sandy soil within the post oak belt in Texas, and the post oak savannahs only show up within the east central Texas plains on a level IV-inclusive map.
And I dunno about anyone else, but there's something special about meeting some of your more exclusive neighbors.

gaza has just been completely cut off from the world.
after increased intensity of israeli aistrikes tonight, the last cable providing communications was destroyed. telecommunications have been completely cut off. they cannot reach one another. they cannot reach paramedics. the red crescent society has completely lost contact with their branch in gaza. nobody inside can reach anyone inside, and especially not outside of gaza to tell us what is going on. this is a complete atrocity.
