Bought the most pathetic mini orchid at the hardware store. Moved it to a spare 3-inch pot and repotted with leftover medium I bought for my old orchid (RIP). I purposefully got a long shot so it wouldn't be an ego hit if it doesn't survive but also so I'll get bragging rights if it does. (But watch me never post about it again either way)

Could I get two more cups of flowers? Debatable. I am a "black out when I stand up" kind of animal and I think there's only so much blacking out it is advisable to do. Lot of up and down when collecting wildflowers
#if they didn't mow the field every year the violets wouldn't be so far apart. stop mowing fields allow the flowers to grow concentrated#so I can just sit down and do my thing

I hhave harvested 2 cups of flowers, which will not make enough syrup to run my ice cream maker effectively. I am debating whether to skip the ice cream maker and just make syrup and freeze it as is (same flavor just less fancy texture), or make the syrup, mix up a half batch of vanilla ice cream, and dump them in the ice cream maker together (fancy texture, unknown but probably delicious flavor)
This will be the year that I make violet sorbet
