Introductions
Hello, all! This is the introductory post for the official “A Slasher Dating Sim” Tumblr blog!
It came to our attention that we should branch out onto Tumblr with a blog for official updates, Q&As with the dev team and writers, and other interactions with you guys. Not only that but in the interim of off-time between posts, we'll be reblogging slasher-related content.
We're currently rebuilding our team, and as it stands, we've got a good thing going! Though we are always interested in new hands on deck (and may periodically post about new slots open on our development team), we’re at a point right now where we're going to be making substantial progress again.

I gave up shading after the skin I apologise. Don’t like the colour of her tie so I changed it too, I think it’s easier to keep colour harmonies (I hate blue sometimes)

This is a gift for an angel.
I don’t like to be very open about my personal life and I’m not too fond of PDA but this painting is something particularly special. We always share our interests and every time that happens, I feel it only makes our bond stronger, especially with Good Omens. We both feel so connected with these characters individually as they seem so similar to us. I remembered a particular lovely idea he mentioned involving the two of them, so I decided to make it into a painting for him.
Process:
I’ve doodled Crowley a few times before because David Tennant facial structure is just a bit interesting to me, but it also posed a little bit of a challenge to capture his likeness since he has a few features that i haven’t drawn like his ever before; I had to force myself to forget some of my typical techniques of drawing things (mainly the chin and the lips, and subtle facial details of muscles I don’t know the names of) I still think there’s more to improve and stylise for his face but it’s the best I could do.
This was my first time drawing Aziraphale however, but it didn’t give me a difficult time. I think there’s a bit more room for improvement for his likeness, but I’m happy with it.
Colours for this painting was so satisfying and fun, a lot less hellish than I expected too. I did an orange underpainting since I thought it would contrast well with the green/blue background, and aid me in picking the right values and tones etc etc. the flashes of the undertone showing through is just one of my favourite things.
Surprisingly after I had blocked out the background colours I didn’t need many colour references at all, I went with my instincts and applied the things I’ve learnt about colour theory over the years which led me the whole way.
I also used a slight hue, saturation and brightness jitter to replicate how tones shift in real life on my brush as a new technique—even though it’s extremely subtle zoomed out, it made it feel so much more dynamic and pretty. I think I’ll be doing this more in the future.
Near completion, it was just a grassy background without tree roots until I showed my friend for feedback. They thought that the blue shadow was water, and I was like “shit, well that means I need to add more context to that blobby shadow…” and in the end I think it definitely helped not only the context of the shading, but the final composition by making it more interesting.
Anyway, thanks for reading my ramble on this process. I am now feverishly awaiting season 3.

I've recently played a demo of your Slasher Dating Sim! I wanna smooch Jason so badly <3 <3 <3 ;w;
I have a question about your game... Do you have an approximate estimate on when the game would possibly be finished?
(I understand it takes a lot of work, energy and resources to make a project like this... I am planning on releasing an rpg horror maker game sometime in the future myself, with a concept I've had for years)
As it stands right now we can’t give a release date, but I want to release Jason and maybe Harry both next year!

Originally, I wanted to have the two ghouls close to kissing, but then it would be hard to see both of their faces (or front helmets I guess)

Seriously, we need more rat designs. I needed more so I made my own lol
I think the colour palette could be better but this is what I chose in the end!
Also, a small detail; I made the head rat have a similar skull face design as him, I think Copia would love that.
In hindsight, maybe I could’ve made the other rats black to resemble the ghouls, but it might not contrast too well with the hair…

I've drawn a lot of designs like this recently since I got to saw them at the Brisbane concert! I might post the rest here later too.
Made on Photoshop, took about half a day coming up with a concept on paper and then making it digitally. I originally wasn't going to have the stitches, I only added them when I started inking but I think it made it look 10x better.
I tried to make each quarter show their most iconic part of face paint, while still making sense to be done in some type of order. Luckily I was able to capture that with everyone; the messiness of Papa I's makeup, then the more modern design of Papa III's eye and nose, Copia's black lips, cheek design, big ass chin, and Papa III's edgy mouth lines and cheek design. Papa III's hat was a fuckin pain to detail.
I was also going to make each quarter's smoke be the colours of their respective albums but I just could not make it look good or harmonize so I stuck with just Opus Eponymous since it has a better striking palette for something with limited colours.

[POSSIBLE RAIN WORLD SPOILER WARNING, particularly for creatures and a major 'plot' point]
11 Clouds, 8 Nights is an iterator in the rain world universe, accompanied by Nightcat (a slugcat that was scrapped in the original game, not my creation). Instead of searching for the triple affirmative, they decided to move their focus towards the remaining creatures of Rain World.
11c8n worked towards giving some creatures, such as the slugcats, vultures and lizards, a head-start in evolution by genetically engineering them to be prepared for the harsher cycles to come in the far future. They are responsible for the Miros Vultures, Rivulet's adaptation (although riv was an offspring of their previously made products) and Salamanders.
