Sculptor Spends 2 Years To Build Knife Angel Out Of 100,000 Weapons
There’s a giant 26-foot-tall Knife Angel sculpture in the UK, built entirely out of 100,000 donated knives. But besides the impressive statistics, it’s also a monument built out of morbid necessity to remember the victims fallen to the increasing knife violence in the United Kingdom and to finally acknowledge that there is a real problem. The Genkoan Temple, a Zen Buddhist temple with a tranquil garden & legendary ceiling with wood reclaimed from a castle. The ceiling of the main hall is called the “bloody ceiling,” which was made using floorboards from the disassembled Fushimi Castle where soldiers were defeated, killed themselves and left bloodstains on the floor in 1600. The creatures under your bed like to reach up and hold your hand when you leave it dangling over the edge of the bed. Not because they want to eat it or anything, but because they're scared of the dark. You make them feel safer. They hold your hand to feel safe and not so alone.
What a twist. Someone draw a comic/cartoon of this!

Flashed Face Distortion Effect
Like many interesting scientific discoveries, this one was an accident. Sean Murphy, an undergraduate student, was working alone in the lab on a set of faces for one of his experiments. He aligned a set of faces at the eyes and started to skim through them. After a few seconds, he noticed that some of the faces began to appear highly deformed and grotesque. He looked at the especially ugly faces individually, but each of them appeared normal or even attractive. He called it the “Flashed Face Distortion Effect”.
Here is a masterpost of interesting tricks you can play on your mind like this one. Here’s my masterpost of all things related to the human mind and brain.

Meet Patrick Kilonzo Mwalua, aka the water man, who delivers water to the wild animals in dry lands of Kenya. He is a pea farmer in his local village who saw the dire effects that global warming is having on Kenya’s wildlife. "We aren’t really receiving rain the way we used to… So I started giving animals water…“ he states.
