I love the "came back wrong" trope but from the opposite side.

Imagine you are dead. And then you are RIPPED from the embrace of decay into the world of the living again. Your memories are hazy and you don't recognize any of these people, but they act like they're close to you? Like they love you? So you try to get your memories back, to act like you belong here, but everybody tries to forget you died. And you can't. It is omnipresent. And just trying to grapple with that fact pushes the people who "love" you away, and they're incapable of understanding, and they're so confused, what's wrong N̶̄̀O̶͛͗T̷̉́ ̷͋͝Y̴̎̌Ȍ̴̈U̸̓R NÄM̴̃͑E̵̾̇? And you just need them to understand, you aren't that person! You aren't! You don't know who that person is! You don't know why any of this is happening, but they're unwilling to bend, they keep insisting you are that person, your memories will come back, everything will be normal again, and you want to scream and cry and claw yourself open to show them you're different. Your existence as a being wholly separate from whoever you "used to be" is a sin unto itself. All you can do is scrabble for life and to them, you're killing whoever they loved to do it.

I love survival shipping for like zero reason (that's a lie I have multiple) and I just think they're so silly. In my heart they get to be normal and they go on walks and be sweet, I'm delusional okay? Also I swear he has his 2nd set of arms but I couldn't fit it right in the frame I chose T-T

Some silly HC because I'm bored and who knows what happened to them after crystalized:

-Garmadon likes dressing up/dressing modern to sort of pull away from his old identity

-Wu and Garmadon have started getting together for tea again after he realized his brother was genuinely trying to change, it took Lloyd a little longer but eventually he started talking to his father again as well

-Garmadon works some really random normal ass job, like working the floor at a book shop or something cause I find it funny when super powerful characters get normal jobs just cause they can

-Vinny has like a million shirts with stupid graphics or quotes on them that he probably makes himself

-Vinny likes hiking, I don't know why but he seems like the type (I have no real backing for this)

Anyways I love them and I think they're cute and I'm well aware that this ship will probably neeever be confirmed but it's okay I can just do it myself lol. I hope yall have a great day/nigh, peace out!

Garmadon's supposed Death. They both knew it was going to happen, but just. not like this. not like that.

The constant shift of Garmadon's appearance is to show that in all those stages of his life, he was still Lloyd's father in all of them. That in every part of his life he has always, always loved Lloyd.

At the end, when Garmadon comforts Lloyd, his last appearance was of him as a human. The version Lloyd wants to remember him as. A kind teacher and father, who loved him dearly. Not the son of god, not the overlord, but just, Garmadon.

Summary of Garmadon's involvement with his son's childhood vs Misako's involvement...

Yes, I used the milk joke on Misako, I'm sorry! BUT... This piece did make me think of what Misako has done in her absence and I will say now that I headcannon that she did not mean to leave Lloyd for so long and we'll get into that in a "Misako getting the milk" post.
