“You’re lucky I love you.” He said with a smile before kissing her cheek. “Of course we will. We always figure it out. Have you seen any of my siblings? I’ve met Susan but she doesn’t remember me.”

“I haven’t seen any of them, I was glad to see a familiar face. I only figured out what was going on by stopping people in the street.” She said. “Lets be glad we remember each other.”

“ it’s kind of gaudy, don’t you think? ” gideon glanced over at the other person, half expecting him not to answer. he’d never been one for art, not quite getting the hype of brush strokes on canvas or paper, never having the same rush others did. he could understand music, sure, but art had always seemed so still, so final.

not expecting the other to answer, he looked back down at this museum pamphlet, scanning the words on the laminated pages.

“It is now, but I’m sure at the time it was seen as beautiful.” He mused. “I personally don’t like stuff like this, I like more of life stills showing what was happening in the moment instead of retelling of stories that happened years ago.” he continued.

(¸.• ♛ → “Oh, okay, Stiles it is.” For some reason was really refreshing to just talk to him, it feels natural in some way. “Yeah? It is weird though, it did freak me out.” The brunette admitted but nodding at his offer. “Sounds good to me, thanks.”

“Well waking up somewhere you didn’t fall asleep can be jarring.” He said. “So how long have you been here?” He asked.

“i barely understand the meaning behind the art” polo commented, after hearing the other one nearby speak. despite not understanding the art much, he still went to the museum to look at them. he tried finding new hobbies & to forget his life back home too.

“Well it’s not so much about understanding the art, it’s more about the feeling you get watching the art.” Grantaire said turning around to face the man. “I also know some people who have been the losers.” He continued.

“Are you questioning my honor?” He asked as he put a hand on his chest with a smile. “I know how to ask these people simple questions…I just don’t feel like it.” He said with a small shrug. “Time traveled?” A few years ago Edmund wouldn’t have believed time traveling was actually a thing that could happen, but now he believed anything could be true. “That is a possibility. But it’s still doesn’t explain why my ow sister doesn’t remember me.”

“Darling I’m the only one who’s allowed to question your honor, and yes I am.” She said grinning. “Well I don’t know about that either, but we’ll figure it out together.” She said thinking deeply.

“Yeah, seems like it.” She said with a smile. “I like fashion and make up. So whenever I’m not studying I go out shopping for clothes and make up. I also seem to be able to draw but for some reason I can never seem to remember actually drawing the picture.” She said looking down. She had no idea why she told this person abotu this but for some reason she did.

“Oh drawing that’s cool, what sorts of things do you draw?” He asked curious is any of her predictions were coming out in drawings and that might lead him closer to figuring out what the hell happened here.

“I’ve never done that drawing without remembering but that seems like a cool party trick.”

“That is true.” He said with a smile. “At first I thought I was in Narnia but unless Aslan made cars a thing, I don’t think we are.” He said looking at her. “I don’t even know where to start to figure out what happend.”

“Don’t think Narnia’s quite ready for that yet, I don’t even know if I am.” She said sighing. “Although I must say I’m disappointed King Edmund the Just doesn’t know how to talk to people and ask simple questions. Maybe not quite as silvertongued as they say.” She says smirking. “From what I’ve been able to gather we’ve time traveled this time not changed worlds.” She ended looking quite satified with herself.

“Oh uh I don’t really know. I don’t go out a lot. I mostly just stay in and study or do my homework.” She said looking at him with a smile. “No it’s fine, a lot of people have said that so don’t worry.”

“Well then, seems like both of need to have a social life. At least that’s something we have in common.” He said smiling at his feet. “So what do you you do for fun, if you’re ever done studying?”

marcus didn’t care as to whether or not the people who showed up to the club were actually decent at fighting. it didn’t matter to him if they got something out of it, just that they continued to show up and pay the door fee each time that they did. “sure,” he replied easily, nodding as he shoved the rest of the cash into his pockets. “not sure if that’s something i’d brag about here, though. people are going to think you’re an easy target - though from the sounds of it, i don’t know if they’d be wrong in thinking that.” 

“Not bragging just saying it’s not the first time I’ve lost. Although I have won more unfortunatly not the ones that mattered.” Grantaire said. 

“Maybe I want them to think that I’m easy makes the fight easier for me.” He said as he rubbed his knuckles.

“Ah I should have been able to hear that from your accent” she chuckled and nodded as she looked at the other, tilting her head to the side. “The war is over. It’s calm around here which is nice” she then bit her lower lip, clasping her hands behind her back.

“Well there’s a lot of place that have this accent not just London.” She said smiling. “That’s a relief to hear and I’m going to go out on a limb and say that the germans didn’t win.” She said noticing the posture change. “So what has changed since 1941 seems that there are a lot faster automobiles for a start.”

“Yeah you do. You can sign up whenever you want.” She said with a smile. “Do you mean here in school or just in general. Cause in school we have a lot of things to do. I’m in the chemistry club so that’s really fun.”

“In general, is there a lot of stuff to do around here?” He asked restraining himself from asking if there were any strange things happening. “That’s cool you really seem like the type who would excel at that, if that isn’t too forward of me to say.” He said stumbling over his words.

On his days off, Draco liked spending his time exploring the city a bit, and today was no different. He hadn’t expected to hear a comment that resonated with him as much as the man’s words did. “I wouldn’t say there are any victors in war, only survivors.” He stated, looking at the painting. He wasn’t quite familiar with it, but the craftsmanship was rather nice. “But those who survive that are considered good do tend to have a shrewd outlook of things, don’t they?”

“Very true, only survivors. The problem is they only see one side.” Grantaire said shaking his head. “They don’t wonder why the others did what they did, who they were fighting for.” Grantaire continued tearing his gaze away from the painting.

At this point she was beyond used at this. At answering these questions. After a while, it just becomes a part of your everyday life. Turning to face the fellow blonde, Cornelia tilted her head to the side and smiled. “You are in Washington D.C and the year is 2020. I know that it can be a bit confusing. Especially if you come from a different timeline or world. But everything is gonna be okay, trust me on that one” she giggled, running a hand through her hair as she studied her. “Where are you originally from?” the guardian then asked, she couldn’t help but be a little curious.

“Thanks, I’m from Finchley, England orignally and the year was 1941 but it’s not the first time this has happened to me.” Amelia said smiling. “It’s different for sure, but is the war over?” She asked wondering what happened to all the people she left behind in her time.

rowena was huge on history given that was what she spent her time teaching at the university. so it wasn’t all that surprising that she was at the museum. though she couldn’t admit that she had expected to hear the sentence the other had muttered out. “well of course it is, but there’s always two sides to a story don’t you think?” 

Grantaire was surprised by the reply he got not realizing he had spoken that loud. 

“I know there is. That’s the sad part about history no-one knows the full story. The story that the losers had and the loved ones they lost.” Grantaire said thinking about his friends.

“You don’t really look like a Lacrosse player so I can believe that you mostly sat on the bench. But you can still sign up if you want.” She said with a small smile. “Oh I’ve lived here my entire life. Okay so here is the locker room, if you wanna sign up just talk to the coach he is mostly in his office which is in the locker room.”

“I’ll sign up later. I got time right?” He said as he turned back to Lydia. “So what else is there to do here?”

Grantaire was walking around in the museum looking at the different art pieces, surprised at how art had changed since his time. As he saw a painting portraying the french revolution. 

“Well, I guess that’s how it was seen afterwards. After all history is written by the victors.” He said thinking of how no-one seemed to remember their failed revolution.

“Oh thank god.”He said with a smile as he went up to hug her. “Susan’s here and she doesn’t seem to remember me or Peter or Lucy.” He said after he pulled away from the hug. “I don’t know how but she thinks I’m crazy.”

After having savoured the hug she stepped back and said: “Well to some people we are a little crazy. After all we don’t look like kings and queens.” 

“I guess we’ll just have to figure out what happened here.” Amelia said looking concerned.
