Hello Ms. Dart! I really love your art, and there's one particular piece that I am not able to find. I believe it is the concept art for the character Queen Chrysalis for the cartoon My Little Pony. I absolutely love your original design, so would you mind posting it somewhere? Thank you and have a great day :)
Thanks so much for saying such nice things. I actually can not post any MLP art without permission from Hasbro. However, I'll cryptically implore you to be patient... *wink*

This is a commission that took way, way too long for me to finish. My scanner struggles continue. We bought a new one, but it's worse than the last one. It took a lot of fiddling in PS, but managed to get it looking to the point where I wasn't totally embarrassed to post it *uhg*

I've always had a western story forming in the back of my mind. I just added a mermaid cowgirl.

Haven't posted anything for a long time, so here are some little drawings that I hang in the ladies bathroom at DHX. I do a new little (2 inches wide) watercolor every week, and hang it in one of the stalls in a little frame. I call it "the bathroom gallery". I really like the idea of discovering art in unlikely places. Livens things up, I think!

I don't think I've mentioned it on here, but my husband Robin Bougie recently did this really cool coffee table book about the history of poster art for vintage American erotic films, and it's such a gorgeous and impressive achievement. Even when some of the movies were cheaply made back in the 1970s, the posters were always top notch. He spent two years researching and writing it, and collecting and restoring the posters. The book is published by FAB Press, and is available in book stores everywhere, both online and otherwise, or if you would like your copy signed and doodled in by Robin, you can order directly from our online store: http://cinemasewer.ecrater.com/c/973820/books

I did the cover art for the brand spanking new release by my favorite local Vancouver hip hop artist, COPASETIC. He's the little fox guy in the hoodie, there. Give it a listen!聽 http://dragonsoulzero.bandcamp.com/releases

In the world of the Battle Kittens, in the land of Growler's Sweep, unicorns are ravenous agents of chaos. They destroy every living thing around them including each other, for they are a cannibalistic species. The only thing they leave behind in their swathe of destruction is a trail of glittery dung.
It is a great triumph for a babearian warrior to take down one of these ominous beasts, for it means the sisterhood will feast for days. The flesh of the unicorn is quite delicious, tasting of supermarket birthday cake.

Marvin and Herbie drawn very quickly for "Draw your Cat in a Dress Day". I think it represents their personalities pretty well.

Anyway, come by and check it out. It鈥檚 held at Vancouver鈥檚 beautiful Roundhouse community centre, and it鈥檚 100% free admission. I look forward to seeing you there! Full information is right over here.

Teenage art.
There was a leak in the storage unit in our building, so we had to bring up to the apartment all the junk we forgot that was down there. There was a whole box of letters, mostly from the 90's (jeez, I miss hand written letters), old cassette tapes and a whack of my drawings from when I was 14 and 15. These were drawn sometime during 1987. I drew a lot of alien animals and these weird dog-faced people, that I'm pretty sure were inspired by Gelflings. It's pretty easy to see my influences when I look at these; Wayne Douglas Barlowe and the After Man book series, not to mention Star Wars and Brian Froud. I also drew unicorns, lots and lots of unicorns, but I'll spare you those. All done on type paper my Dad brought home from his office.
The first droopy-eyed, feather-haired image is me at 15 with the painting I won a blue ribbon with at the county fair.
*sigh* It's amazing how not much has changed.
