STANDING OUTSIDE THE HOTEL TOGETHER, it was just the two of them. they were sharing a moment to smoke together, nothing out of the ordinary. arackniss always provided, since ALASTOR was more of a social smoker, he didn't carry a pack of them on his person. he would indulge from time to time when the other would offer, but usually he was never to be seen like this. smoking indoors was not something that he preferred to do, finding that the act lacked class. they would always stand outside, admiring the city from afar as they did so. holding his unlit cigarette between his lips, he leans in towards the spider. he didn't carry a lighter on his person either, though he certainly could have found ways to do so on his own if he wanted to.

allowing the other to light the cigarette for him, he inhaled as the lighter was struck. a puff of smoke coming with the gesture. he takes it out of his mouth for a moment & inspects it. before taking another drag. ❝ how have things been going, with nonna? the rest of them, are they all well? ❞ he asks between drags. he always makes a point to ask how the family has been doing, knowing that they meant the world to arackniss. nonna hadn't sent anything with this visit, which must have meant that it was unplanned. she didn't know that he was going to stop by the hotel this hour. otherwise, he was sure that he would have gotten some of that italian hospitality.

❝ WE'LL KEEP THAT NOTED. ❞ holding onto her arm, he keeps her steadied in his grasp. no ill - intentions of dropping the popstar before he can lead her to her room. it was quite the hike, but the hotel was a large place, they would have to take the stairs. something that he wasn't sure she would be able to navigate on her own in the state she was in. he would take them one step at a time, making sure that she could follow. the last thing that they needed was for those death traps that she called shoes to betray her now.

"Show off." She mumbled affectionately. She looped an arm over his shoulders to keep herself from faceplanting into the ground again, the room was spinning for her. "Uugh... Remind me to never challenge you again to drinking." She grimaced as they headed to her room.

She huffed at the tease. "What can I say? I'm a mess but a hot mess." She said, smirking. She gave his cheek a playful poke. "And that makes YOU hot too since you've been graced by the presense of this mess."

STARING DOWN AT THE REMOTE, he has to locate the button that she is referring to. he doesn't have the muscle memory to know exactly where each of them is at. never has he touched one of these before. it's all new to him, but he is willing to try new things for the sake of having a little bit of bonding time with the spider demon. teaching an old dog a few new tricks, that was what she was doing. he knew that nuance of dancing, but he'd never done so in terms of a video game. watching as the screen turned into a person, starting up with loud music that he has never heard before. ❝ i see, this seems easy enough. is there any sort of competition to this? ❞ posing himself just like the character on the screen, he readies himself to mimic the actions with perfection. he's a skilled dancer at the heart of it. recreating some moves from a fictional figure should pose no issue to him. ❝ i will follow your lead. ❞ locked in on the screen, surprisingly he seems to be taking it SERIOUSLY. like he wishes to make the most of this situation, for her sake.

"     press 'a' to start, then dance while holding this remote. the controller picks up your movements and you get points based on how well you do !     "          arachne can't believe that she has to teach him how to play the game. she shrugs and holds up the remote, making a display of securing the strap to her right wrist. she then picks the popular rasputin song to begin his learning experience with. while the track begins to play, the spider demon explains the basics that he requested. the moment the just dance character appears on the screen, arachne is ready, but she glances over at alastor in worry, having forgotten to add one important detail.          "     oh! and follow the dancing guide on the screen. you have to copy the character's moves. it won't give you points for a random dance you make up !     "

HE KNEW BETTER THAN ANYONE THAT IT WAS HARD TO ADMIT WHEN ONE NEEDED HELP. he was prone to hiding away & licking his wounds without telling anyone about them. all to keep his act of being a pristine overlord, one that could never get a scratch on him, when that was far from the truth. it must have been embarrassing to have been caught in such a situation from someone who had such a hold over him, but ALASTOR wasn't willing to let something so delicious go unnoticed. if he was able to show his power over the other, then he was going to do so. even if it meant picking at him when he was down.

the irritated comment from the other was to be expected, never one to take teasing lightly. as if it wasn't jabs that would cut him deeply if he wasn't careful. pulling him up with ample force, he wasn't going to waste the opportunity to show that he was in good standings here. getting him straight to his feet in one fell swoop. it wasn't as if HUSK was a large DEMON. he was quite tiny in comparison to someone like ALASTOR. ❝ just admit that you didn't want my help, it would be easier. ❞ though, they both already knew that it was painful for him when it came from the one who owned his soul. ❝ let the time get away from you? how careless. to think, i hired you to be our bartender, and you're out here neglecting your rest. that won't do at all. ❞ keeping his hold on him, he didn't think that he would be able to stand on his own without him holding onto his arm. ❝ come now, we will get you a spot to get comfortable. ❞ leading him over to the couch in the common's room. that was the closest spot that he could take the load off his feet. without having to drag him all the way to his bedroom.

husk was far too out of it to even realize he was too busy. and the fact that alastor was here watching him falling apart due to exhaustion was very embarrassing as if he didn't watch him lose everything before and now before him he was watching him crumble. and not from his drunken sprees. HUSK GRUMBLED SOFTLY, looking up at the demon before him.

" OH FUCK OFF , " but alastor was right, he knew better than to lie to him. another exhausted sigh from him left him, GOLDEN EYES stared at the floor before glancing up at alastor who was willing to help him up. a claw wrapped around offered hand. " its not easy to admit al , even when help comes from you . " he admitted lightly, he would never admit his defeat not when it come to fighting or losing his soul. he would never be the of to ask for help but to offer help it was simple, easier another sigh of exhaustion consumed him " i just lost track of time ," he admitted once again, this time without LYING.

A WIDER SMILE BREAKS OUT ON HIS FACE as the little one tries going after his nose next. without the necessary fangs to pull it off, it hardly feels like anything has a hold of him. but she most certainly is trying her best. it would seem that husker was trying to keep track of her for the time being. though, she had always escaped when she had set her mind to something; this time, that something had been coming to gnaw on ALASTOR'S person. taking her in his arms, he holds her up to the spot; not forcing her to stop teething on his nose if that's what she so pleases.

❝ i do think it's about time that we invest in something for her to chew on properly. it's getting out of hand, wouldn't you say? ❞ he asks, wondering if HUSK had witnessed this phenomenon for himself, or if ALASTOR is the first one in her sight that she decided to use as a chew toy. it's rare to see the other with a smile on his face, though at ALASTOR'S EXPENSE, he will allow it. they have a shared feeling of elation at the event. no need to pester him about being so excitable about him being used as a teething toy.

Feral indeed, or perhaps a stronger word can classify this little lady—who growls and bites and tries to rip at everything she can. Now she’s on his face, her short sprigs of red hair rubbing into his face as her fangs dig into his nose. She gums about on his nose, still learning the coordination with her mouth to do it.
