this whole bird-flu-remnants-in-the-milk-supply doesn't bode well
like pasteurization is probably killing the virus in the dairy but the fact that there is detectable bird flu remnants in the dairy supply is terrifying cause it's thus widespread and a lot of workers are coming down with illness symptoms and not able to seek treatment while companies keep out inspectors
so
it sure would be good if people masked and decided capitalism did indeed have to die

If you dare come at me about banning straws, I will throw you into the sun cannon. I’m disabled, I’m crippled, I need disposable plastic straws, and all those pricey ridiculous alternatives aren’t working as well. Plastic straws were invented for the disabled.
Way to shit all over a vital access need because you think straws are worse than corporate greed.
We all care about the turtles, the seals, the oceans, obviously. Notice how the easiest thing to yell about was something that would barely affect anything but appealed heavily to emotional discourse.
The disabled community is huge, and it can be joined by anyone. Most of those As Seen On TV products were invented for us. Society still mocks us and ignores us, and often outright harms us in multiple ways.
Communicate better. Listen better. But stop putting us out in the cold because you are inconvenienced by our simplest needs.

Local queer trans girl werewolf VTuber weirdo here letting your know that I am approaching nearly 12 Months of being unemployed.
Over the last 12 months I have:
Submitted 3,000+ applications/resumes.
Had 100+ interviews.
Got 1 job that I was constantly misgendered at, and upon informing HR, was then cyber-stalked by my bosses.
Got 1 freelance opportunity who, after two weeks, realized they had hired too many people and then let everyone go who was hired - me included.
Ran out of unemployment, drained my savings, maxed out my credit, and fully lost my insurance.
Unfortunately, even if I got a job RIGHT NOW, I would be unable to pay rent and bills for the foreseeable future.
I am constantly applying for jobs and trying to keep everything above water, but at this point I've become desperate for help.

This didn't start in my mind as a postcard, but the idea struck and I spent quite a bit of time making it come to life.
A large part of my aesthetic is influenced by a family friend's aunt who would wrap gifts in things like duct tape and funny pages. She herself is a nightmare of a person but that has had a profound influence on my approach to art.
