Can someone please explain to me the appeal behind Cartman? I genuinely can’t wrap my head around it, why do you read x readers him him? What makes you attracted to an aged up version of him? This is a genuine question, it’s not meant to poke fun but he is pure evil and doesn’t really have any actual soft spots. Every time I see him acting nice in fics and it’s not to manipulate, it just feels really out of character. The only times I can think of him being genuinely nice in the show are towards someone who’s also an awful person that he looks up to.

I find it funny how salty people get over their favorite characters being sidelined in media when said characters has a million fanon content based around them. Ships like Kyman and Buttman are fun and have interesting character dynamics, but I wish people wouldn’t see episodes where Kyle or Butters are badly fucked over and call it prime romance.

as nice as the newer art style looks, i honestly... prefer the one of seasons 1-5? i loved when the show still looked like it was made of construction paper cutouts. it was shitty, sure, but it was charming and serves as nostalgic to me. i think part of the reason i dislike the later seasons is because it looks and moves so different that it doesn’t... FEEL like classic south park anymore. i know that’s part of the development of any show, but i can still be mournful of it.

Liking a character or a character dynamic has nothing to do with morals. You having Cartman as a fav or liking his dynamic with Butters or Kyle doesn't make you a bad person. Liking Butters and Stan and Kyle's friendship does not make you "pure". You just like how the characters bounce off each other and the entertainment value they bring, nothing more. Liking something does not mean you're blind to the flaws and can't be critical of it. Guilt tripping causes bad experiences for EVERYONE.
