To say Dragon Ball had a huge impact on me is an understatement. For a massive chunk of my life I was known for my love for the series. It inspired me to draw every since I first found it with DBZ Kai. Although I don't draw it as much nowadays, the series is a huge reason I am the artist I am today. I drew fan art of it everyday, and aspired to draw more like Toriyama for many years. Finding out about the passing of such an important figure of my developing years is heartbreaking.
Truly, it is hard to believe the creator who had such a big influence on my life has passed away. I owe a lot to Toriyama. My drive to draw. My aspiration of one day making comics of my own. Subconscious or not, he inspired me to reach higher.
Many of my peers have said this already, but without him or the series he created, I never would have met such wonderful people from the last decade. Who knows where I would've been without his work. To my friends, and Toriyama, thank you for everything. Rest in peace, and thank you all that you've done.

Toriyama was, without a doubt, my biggest art inspiration. He was the reason why all my characters had little blushies. Why I wanted to draw manga in the first place.
Rest in peace.

That makes sense. It's a lot easier to be disappointed by a show you care about rather than one you were never fully invested in.

I think it makes sense. They are in different dimensions. Maybe when she eventually does become that god or whatever she's destined to become, she will be reunited with them. But I like that it isn't 100% pure happy ending. Happy endings are great, I would say most stories makes sense to have a happy ending. But this bittersweetness fits with what Amphibia was building up to. I mean, if the music box was the only thing that could bring people between the two worlds, and we know they don't have the ability to recharge it or whatever anymore, we knew there was going to be no way for them to go back and forth. If it were that easy, Anne would have just gone back home from the very beginning of the show. Introducing a sudden second method that late into the show would have felt random. [I paused to do some reading] Ok, so I had to remind myself what happened to the music box at the end of the show. I can understand why its sudden disappearance is disappointing, but I still think it makes sense why it did. The box was called the Calamity Box, it's existence is dangerous. In order to prevent any further disaster between the two worlds, or any other world for that matter, it had to be destroyed.
Besides, Anne and the Planters are capable of being happy without each other. They still have homes and they still have families. Yes, they miss each other, but they still continue to live their lives and have purpose.
I'm not saying it wouldn't have been nice for instead Anne somehow figure out how to easily recharge the box and travel between the worlds as she pleased, that would have been nice, too. I just feel like both endings work well, if for different reasons.
I feel like this is just one of those times that the story could have gone in one of two directions: either the worlds stay connected or they don't. This is a question that many stories end up having to face, and their answers are always different. It's up to the writer to decide what feels best to their story. In this case, Matt decided what felt best was to separate them. But again, I feel like it could have gone either way.
Edit: Oh. And I wasn't using SvtFoE as a "gotcha" or whatever. I just like complaining about the show at any given opportunity. I wasn't trying to say, "Oh, this might be bad, but this is worse." No, I just don't think Amphibia season 3 was bad. And I like complaining about SvtFoE. Guilty pleasure.

To me Amphibia trio not staying friends made total sense to me. The girls were middle school friends, and clearly already had issues. I know I'm not still friends with even my high school friends, let alone my middle school ones. And if you're talking about Anne and the Planters, I don't know what you're talking about bc that was super emotional. They were from different worlds, they were never going to not split apart. At least they didn't do something stupid like combine two vastly different worlds into one just so one couple could stay together after having only gotten together literally less than a few hours prior.

✨A gentle lamb bleats in a single call, sweetly, meekly. The wind carries its voice through the fluttering of leaves and over mountain tops, across meadows where baby deer dwell under the shadow of their mothers.
Precious lambs you are, Sweet whispers...✨

So Wish came out...
I haven't seen it, but with so many videos on why it's terrible, I'm starting to hear some of the same stuff pop up.
Music is okay at best. Lyric pacing is terrible.
Too many references to old movies, not enough attention to the story.
Asha is a boring character.
Overcrowding. Having the seven dwarves as Asha's allies made for seven characters with no real purpose.
Magnifico is a boring villain. Which is a shame, cause as someone who has no intention of seeing the film, he seems like he's the most interesting character.
The queen has literally no purpose whatsoever.
The magic system is never clearly defined and creates plot holes too big to excuse.
Valentino is annoying.
Star was only made for merchandizing purposes.
Animation style is lackluster compared to other movies made by other studios coming out today.
Honestly, I worry that this is going to become one of those cases where "bad press is good press". So many people are talking about the film, and the people who made the videos obviously went to the theater to see it. I hate to contribute to that, but I felt like summing it up. I doubt Wish is going to make the same comeback as Elemental did, but who knows? Even if it starts making more money in the box office, I don't see its ratings going up.
