Or was physical attraction just the only/primary thing Delena had and Stelena was built on so much more so instead of zoning in on Elena’s attraction to Stefan, which is quite blatant and intense anyway
their connection was foremost in the portrayal of their relationship and the attraction was simply understood and wrapped up in everything else?
Like, I don’t remember Elena ever insisting to Stefan’s face that Damon was hot

i think it’s kind of a shame they didn’t do anything spicy with no humanity stelena. like i get that it’s in character for elena not to take him when he’s like this because she rejects this side and says it’s not stefan. but it would’ve been hot if he flirted with her and she was into it idk. like the part where stefan taunted her for being jealous of damon flirting with rebekah, he actually seemed possessive and this whole arc is giving silas vibes rn. i don’t like that she was jealous of damon and rebekah but i liked her exchange with stefan
