Yearly reminder to everyone trying to find alternatives to tumblr/social media in general: go make a Neocities account and teach yourself basic HTML and post your art/writing/shitposts there.

It does take extra time to set up (but there are templates out there!) but it is so so worth it to have a site that is 100% YOURS!

You don’t even have to be that good at coding. I’m not. My site is not very accessible via mobile devices but that is fine with me (keeps me off my phone) but there are plenty of ways to make your site mobile friendly. There are plenty of bare bones/accessible sites I adore purely for the media on it.

Imagine having your site on your phone and showing someone- hey! I coded this from scratch. And I didn’t even have to pay a company like squarespace. All your images, links, writings, in one place. I have my fandom edits, memes, fanart, and custom graphics there.

Neocities has a very bare bones follower and comment system, but you can disable this if you want your site to truly abstain from any social media-isms. I use it because its a great way to meet other webmasters and get help with coding problems. Neocities isn't an exact replacement for Tumblr (no reblogging here) but html coding is an invaluable skill to know, as is keeping a personal website in this day in age.

The awesome thing about having your own website is if, god forbid, Neocities goes down, you can move your site to any other number of hosting platforms (like Teacake.org). Your site is truly YOURS, and no one else (shitty tech CEO cough cough) can take it away from you.

As a Jewish historian, I fucking hate Israel in ways most probably will never be able to comprehend. I'm going to try and explain it anyways. The central creation myth of Israel is that it is Jewish, and then consequently, that Israel is a part of Jewishness. Its easy to simply state this is false, but fully comprehending this and putting it into practice in thought and deed seems rare to me.

The evil at the heart of this violence predates the recent acceleration of genocide. Israel is a colony, and more than that, an antisemitic fraud itself. After WW2, when Israel was being founded, the Jews of Europe generally did not wave goodbye to their neighbors and head to the promised land. Many were expelled from their homes. Zionism itself, as an action, was a false choice at the time. A mere excuse to place an ally in the middle east, and an excuse to complete the expulsion and destruction of the European Jew. The Zionist Jew is more than complicit in this, they actively seek the destruction and assimilation of all other Jews.

Many fail to realize, and largely because of Israel, that Jews are not inherently white, Ashkenazi, European-descended people. Our faith and culture has an immense variety that is spread all across the globe. Jewishness, in population and volume of culture, exists more so outside of Israel than within it. Israel is for a very specific kind of Jew. The kind that lets Yiddish die, that attaches themselves to European things, that makes themselves and their practices as white as possible.

And they have the nerve, the fucking belligerent GALL, to frame themselves as the necessary saviors of our people. To the Zionist, questioning Israel is to question Jewishness itself. They bake adoration for the colonial machine into their very prayers, and push them on us even as children. To *not* oppress, to *not* kill, to *not* genocide, is to invite death. This is the core of fascistic thought, of course. "Kill them before they kill us." And they KNOW this too, they really do. The truth of that irony does not matter, because as is true for all fascists, the truth itself does not matter to them. They wanted this, they wanted this even before the British saw it in their best interest to give them the land. Any excuse to RETVRN, as the neo-nazis say of Rome, or the German Empire, or whatever the fuck stupid country they want to poorly animate the corpse of. Some select Zionists even *sided with the fucking Nazis* in agreement they should abandon Europe to colonize Palestine. (Haavara Agreement)

Thank you!! I'm considering making a post talking about how I approach drawing them, but it won't be for a little bit. For now, I can provide a little tip!!

When I started drawing Trolls I kind of had a hard time wrapping my head around it, but when you break it down to the basics you can see that it's all shapes! I found this really helpful guide from the series, Poppy's model sheet. This helped a lot and eventually it got to a point where I understood their shapes and proportions and got more comfy drawing them!! Heavily relying on ref is the key to getting better!!

Thinking about it, I've seen a bunch of Branch being angrier at his brothers when he sees them again content (Good stuff lol) but I don't think I've seen Branch just straight up not remembering them, which is a shame bc I think that has potential! Imagine John Dory showing up like he does but Branch actually doesn't remember him at all, in fact he's convinced he doesn't have siblings, because if he did surely he'd remember them. Maybe John questions him about Floyd's vest, only for him to just be confused because who the hell is Floyd? As far as he can remember, he's always had it, no one ever gave it to him. Just John getting increasingly more distressed as it hits him that Branch isn't just mad and trying to pretend he doesn't know him, he genuinely doesn't know him

Like how would the 3rd movie play out if he genuinely didn't remember them? In that instance how would he be convinced to even go and try to save Floyd? Cuz remember In the movie, Branch was only really willing to go because of how close he was to Floyd in comparison to his other Brothers. He even said along the lines of "If there was any of my brothers that I would save it would be Floyd." But In a scenario where he didn't remember Floyd what reason would he have to want to try and save him? Especially considering how far away from home Floyd was.

Like we know how cautious Branch is and yes he is a pretty selfless troll, put I still think Poppy would have to be the one to really convince him to go out of his way to save, what he perceives to be a total stranger, cuz otherwise I don't think John Dory would be able to convince him alone.

Imagine how sad it would be between the rest of the brothers when they realize, no he isnt just mad like u said, he just genuinly doesn't remember them? He isn't dodgy because he feels hurt by them leaving, he's dodgy because he's having 'strangers' trying to hug up on him and touch him and such and that makes him very uncomfortable.

Attempts to jog his memory just doesn't work and post TBT they would have to essentially rebuild however small their relationship with him is from the ground up. There may even be the sad realization that Branch may never see them as brothers again.

There's so much potential for this and I hope to see it more!

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.
