god i am so fucking soft about foolish's spanish because like the whole reason he started learning in the first place was because quackity showed up in a discord call one day to just mess with people by speaking only spanish to them and like it was just friendly teasing to the tune of "haha you can't communicate this way" but foolish went "okay but what if i could tho" and now he's reached a point where he can translate for leo to help her understand and communicate better and instead of other people needing to change their language to accommodate him, he can change his language to accommodate other people and like that's it! that's the goal! he's there! like he has so much still to learn but also he's doing so good and he's making the actual effort and it means so much and i am holding him so close to my heart at all times

i gotta say i agree that exposing children to algorithmic content feeds is going to make them grow up with one billion new kinds of mental illnesses and it's a serious societal problem that urgently needs addressing but it makes me v. v. v. uneasy when i see posts going around that identify this issue and come to the conclusion 'this is why it's important for parents to know what their kid is doing online' and uh girls there are a lot of kids out there who would be dead if their parents knew what they were doing online
