i know tf2 didnt start with much to it's plot-- but for this to be some of the earliest info on the cast, this guy from boston sure does count like a frenchman taught him how ToT

I wouldn’t call Skullgirls “less overtly horny” considering how they designed Queen Nancy’s Skullgirl form in the mobile game.
Also, to clarify what I mean by less overtly horny (with emphasis on overtly) is that while the game still has sexy designs, it’s not as in-your-face and omnipresent as it is with some of the earlier fighters. What initially prompted me to start combing through the digital art compendium on this subject was that I was noticing things like Cerebella blushing during her hitstun animation and how many of the girls drooled and had ahegao faces and extra frames dedicated exclusively to titty jiggle on crumple animations.
And that’s to say nothing of the copious panty shots for Filia, Cerebella, Parasoul, and Valentine that are still very much in the game (especially Cerebella, goddamn). Then when you look at Eliza, who I’d put right behind Valentine for “sexiest fighter”, she has WAY fewer frames of animation dedicated to fanservice in that way. Even her hitstuns go for comedy gore instead of suggesting masochism.
Or they go a little more subtle with fanservice, like how Squigly’s legs are actually drawn underneath her skirt, but you only see them for certain color palettes because her skirt is translucent for them.
Again, not saying that the game became totally sexless after a point or that they eliminated horny- I anticipate at least one of the season pass slots going to Black Dahlia or Ms. Victoria’s superhero form- but they definitely dialed back from it feeling like fanservice was happening at every waking moment.
