cant wait for penny to break the hack and to be free of al the strings holding her back, so we can see what sort of a fight she can give when theres nothing holding her back because like she is arguably the third most powerfull person on remnant at this point

can you imagine a Salem vs Penny though? that’s an immortal vs semi-immortal in a sense. Penny can survive heavy damages, and haven’t been shown yet to run out of energy / battery in-universe, so there’s your free unlimited laser beams

also if she’s going with the gang in Vacuo, it’d be so lovely to see her being the heavy damage dealer / tank and being fully supported by RWBYJNOR. That would be a spectacular sight

but yeah, Penny fighting full on, with her own volition? sign me the fuck up

Seriously though, I think a good 30% of RWBY discourse could be fixed if everyone watching it understood it's an anime and understood that many of things it's doing is in response and in conversation with anime.

And then another 30% could be solved if people didn't hold on to their expectations and headcanons even past the point of canon disproving them.

After that, it's just 20% bad faith arguments, and 20% Stuff that actually needs to talked about.

To desperately trying to stop Penny from fulfilling the commands of a virus that has robbed her of her agency and self.

Ruby’s “Penny please!” being the first thing she says after that conversation with Yang has a lot of weight to it

Boy Watts is talking a lot of shit for a guy who’s doing the exact same thing Cinder did in volume 5.

Salem made pretty clear what the plan is here. Help Cinder find Penny and take her power. Watts’ plan is adding unnecessary variables by involving Ironwood and letting Penny open the vault because he wants revenge, which is exactly what Cinder did and why they failed.

The only way they win this is for Watts to swallow his pride and follow Cinder’s lead, because that’s what Salem ordered him to do. And I’m not sure he can do that.

See, I think one of the biggest reasons I love Tyrian is because of his motivations

And because he Doesn’t Have Any

Because all the other baddies are out here having character arcs and deep motivations and conflict and stuff

So it’s refreshing to have it be like “So why are you a villain? What motivates you?” And have the villain go “It is a beautiful day outside, and I am a horrible goose”
