As someone who gee up with actual 8 tracks I got say you had me in the first half
i come from the 8tracks generation where you weren't allowed to just dump three and a half twee indie folk/tswift records into a fanmix and call it done. on 8tracks you had 8+ handpicked songs in rigid chronological order and an accompanying mission statement and thesis defence detailing exactly why each one applied to your derek x stiles coffee shop au AND cover/track-list art hodgepodged from stolen pinterest/tumblr aesthetic photography, and all of this was done under constant threat of death because it was the DMCA wild west and the site was in a constant state of gradual collapse.

62-year-old Johnny Cash's 81st album was released on 26 April 1994.
After seeing Cash perform in 1992, producer Rick Rubin approached him about making a record together. Cash was skeptical, but agreed after Rubin promised him he could do whatever he wanted.
Cash and Rubin decided on a spare production, with only Cash and his guitar, recorded in Cash's cabin in Tennessee or Rubin's home studio in LA. Selecting an eclectic mix of songs, ranging from Cash's own repertoire (he had recorded "Delia's Gone" and "Oh, Bury Me Not" in the early 1960s) to new songs written specifically for him ("Thirteen" by Glenn Danzig and "Down There by the Train" by Tom Waits), American Recordings re-introduced Cash to old fans, and introduced him to an entirely new generation.
The album received almost universal acclaim and received a Grammy award for Best Contemporary Folk Album. It has been named as one of the best albums of all time (Rolling Stone) and would lead to 5 more American Recording releases.

When you are alone and have a heart attack. What are you gonna do then?
Take a 2 minute break and read this:
Let's say it's 5:25 pm and you're driving home after an unusually hard day's work.
You are really tired and frustrated. All of a sudden your chest pains. They are starting to radiate in the arm and jaw. It feels like being stabbed in the chest and heart. You're only a few miles away from the nearest hospital or home.
Unfortunately you don't know if you can make it..
Maybe you've taken CPR training, but the person running the course hasn't told you how to help yourself.
How do you survive a heart attack when you're alone when it happens? A person who is feeling weak and whose heart is beating hard has only about 10 seconds before losing consciousness.
1. But you can help yourself by coughing repeatedly and very strongly! Deep breaths before every cough. Coughing should be repeated every second until you arrive at the hospital or until your heart starts to beat normally.
2. Deep breathing gives oxygen to your lungs and coughing movements boost the heart and blood circulation. Heart pressure also helps to restore a normal heartbeat. Here's how cardiac arrest victims can make it to the hospital for the right treatment
3. Cardiologists say if someone gets this message and passes it on to 10 people, we can expect to save at least one life.
4. FOR WOMEN: You should know that women have additional and different symptoms. Rarely have crushing chest pain or pain in the arms. Often have indigestion and tightness across the back at the bra line plus sudden fatigue.

I love it when two things I love but are way not related collide with each other. Case in point: I Art Deco (duh) and I love Industrial & Deathrock music; this is Lead into Gold's 12" single for Idiot/Blackened Heart, Hatred on legendary Wax Trax Records. This is (and still is Paul Barker's project). Paul is best known as the bass player for Ministry & Revolting Cocks back in their heyday. The Art Deco album art are from two Chicago Bridges. One bridge with the female subject, if sketchy sources are correct, is the Ogden Bridge, which was totaled in 1994 (this single came out in 1990). The Ashland Avenue bridge is still there but google maps doesn't show any artwork anywhere. The artist for both is Scipione del Campo, who did many other Chicagoland pieces in the same style.

๐Ÿšจ Students at Harvard University launched an encampment in support of Gaza in Harvard Yard moments ago, calling for an end to Harvard's moral and material complicity in the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people.
Harvard has invested over $200 million of its over $51 billion endowment in companies with ties to zionist settlements in the West Bank, while most of its investments to the zionist entity are kept secret.
The students are demanding financial transparency regarding investments related to the zionist entity, as well as genocide and occupation in Palestine; divestment from these investments and reinvestment in Palestine; and dropping all charges against student activists.
The University has suppressed student voices in support of Palestine time and time again, suspending the Palestine Solidarity Committee just this week on baseless grounds. They have also enabled attacks on pro-Palestinian students from the media and politicians. Today, the students say enough is enough, and that they will no longer tolerate their institution's support for genocide.
This brings the number of ongoing encampments to 19, with more to come.

This happened in Richmond! They say in the caption that it happens once a month in the summer. So:
I didn't include Ted because he doesn't have a car but to me, if he did, he would total at least three like this during his stay.

home is where you don't have to explain your condition
[ID: a 4-page comic in illuminated manuscript style of a person riding a horse on a gold road. /1: They say: "A dilemma: I must describe my illness so my needs can be met. /But I wish not to irritate anyone with endless complaint." /2: Their horse walks down the path to a forest. The rider holds out their hand contemplatively and says: "But--I do want recognition for all I achieve while so ill! /But I tired of being always the Sick: the Strange Unknown!" /3: The horse stops and the rider leans over, sweating worriedly. /4: The rider turns the horse around, angry lines over their head. They say: "...I'm going home" /end ID]

the idea that restrooms, locker rooms, etc need to be single-sex spaces in order for women to be safe is patriarchy's way of signalling to men & boys that society doesn't expect them to behave themselves around women. it is directly antifeminist. it would be antifeminist even if trans people did not exist. a feminist society would demand that women should be safe in all spaces even when there are men there.
