I think it's worth noting that this outraged disbelief

isn't just Jamie's reaction to Zava's arrival in general but his direct reaction to Roy and Zava sharing a respectful nod.

Um, I've been Roy's nemesis forever and ever and I'm the prick and the star on this team and I've cried on his shoulder while he held me so so tight and I was there to (try to) pick up the pieces when this idiot dumped his amazing and gorgerous and fantastic girlfriend and I was all he could think of when he was first getting together with her and I've had his poster on my wall since I was a kid and he's called me a pretty boy and an ugly boy and he thinks my right foot was kissed by god but this guy gets a nod?

Someone mentioned in the server the other day that Jamie starting a sentence with "respectfully, coach" in s2e7 sounds like something he picked up in therapy (especially considering how he was talking to James in the next episode - "Don't speak to me like that," "I'd rather them not") and that wounded me for some reason.....s2 Jamie talking to Dr Fieldstone about how to get Roy to be nice to him.....kill me

Roy staring in shock and horror at Jamie being cuddled by his mummy while he tells her all about his hair woes because Roy realizes that this will be his life now, the day before in the boot room was not a one-off thing, this is how it’s going to go whenever Jamie’s upset about something: he’s going to cling to Roy like a koala and Roy will be expected to pet his hair and say something encouraging and not tell him to fuck off and that’s some fucking insane bullshit, isn’t it, because Roy knows too, without a shadow of a doubt, that he’s going to do it.
