Just appears behind Ava and places a hand on her shoulder. "You, yes ..." Faintly a smile could be seen. "I require your services for a moment." She pulls away her hand and BAM! a bunch of paperwork fell on Ava's work station. When the girl would turn around, Sabrina was gone. Oddly enough, there was a set of instructions on how to complete them with strange detail.

Usually Ava was good about not getting sneaked up on. Aura was a very useful advantage in that sort of situation. However any benefit is quickly negated when the person in question literally teleported into her space in an instant faster than she could register it.

Ava startled in her seat when Sabrina’s hand was unexpectedly on her shoulder. She recognized the voice, and the sudden appearance of the stack of papers was a confirmation. She turned around just to be sure, but Sabrina disappeared as quickly as she had appeared.

“...” 

She was going to have to report this to her superior. It’s not like Ava could turn down the order of a higher up, and neither could the office manager stop her from fulfilling the order. At least it would make for an change of pace from her usual work. Judging from the height of the stack? It was going to take her all day to complete.

“But Ava…” there’s a tinge of whining under all that grumbling. “It’s hot at the beach… There’s sand, everywhere... and…” 

A quick snap to the side is where a glance went as Silver thought with disgust at– beach bodies, before back to her again. 

“It’s not that bad!” She countered before attempting to change his mind with some gentle persuasion. 

“It’s always breezy, and the water helps ta cool ya down. Ya can go swimmin’, build sand castles, collect pretty shells and rocks, fly a kite, look for pokemon in the tide pools. There’s so many fun things ta do at the beach, it’s worth dealin’ with the sand and heat. It’d be a nice change from the mountain. Won’t you consider it, Silver?”

type of bed: Twin sized floor mattress

amount of blankets: one sheet in the summer, at least two blankets in the winter

amount of pillows: one or two

type of clothing: Depends on the weather. Warm pajamas in the winter. Shorts and tanktop in the summer, though sometimes less if the heat is that bad.

do they sleep with company?: Yes, there’s usually one of her pokemon sharing the bed with her.

do they sleep with plushies?: If there’s no pokemon there will be a plushie, yes.

do they sleep better with company?: Yes, because of her habit of having a pokemon with her Ava prefers company. Human company is even better because that means she gets to be the little spoon and be the one hugged. 

does it matter where they sleep?: For the most part, yes. She prefers to sleep in her bed. However she can fall asleep on her floor cushions or on the beach lounge she keeps on her balcony. She doesn’t like falling asleep upright but will if she’s tired enough.

frequent dreams, nightmares?: Frequent dreams, nightmares occasionally. Hit-or-miss when it comes to remembering them but could probably do better if she kept a dream journal.

what do they do if they cannot fall asleep?: She knows she shouldn’t but she’ll end up browsing the internet on her phone, just some mindless scrolling on social media until she gets tired enough to try sleeping again.

deep slumber or naps?: 2-hour naps still count as naps, right?

when do they wake up?: 6:00am on work days, 9-10am on days off.

when do they sleep?: She tries to sleep by 10pm on work nights but sometimes can’t until midnight. Days off she doesn’t bother and sleeps between midnight and 1am.

what could wake them up?: Alarm clock, pokemon barking, knocking at her door, the doorbell. Most loud noises can jolt her awake.

How Do You Feel During Love?

You are the air we breathe, important but largely unnoticed.

Only the most gentle in spirit will take the time to appreciate you, for most do not think about how much they love the air, they just do. 1. When did you create your muse?

Originally? Back in July of 2012 on Facebook was when I created the self-insert Rocket OC who was code named Canidae (it was tradition in that group for RPing members to go by a code name). When I brought her over to a Tumblr group in March 2014 I turned her into her own character, though she still went by Canidae for a little while before switching over to just using her name.

2. Where did you find inspiration for your muse?

When I decided to revise Ava for Tumblr RP I knew I wanted to do something that wasn’t just a generic grunt who wants to become an agent. Team Rocket is a very large organization that needs a lot of people covering various jobs to keep everything running, so there’s plenty of options if you’re willing to look outside the box. I drew inspiration from my experience with the tabletop RPG Shadowrun. It gave me a base to work with in order to conceptualize what Ava would be capable of to begin with, namely with her computer and hacking abilities at the time.

3. Tell us something about the world/universe in which your muse lives.

I don’t know if this applies to the question but I’m going to go on a tangent so bear with me. Something I always try to keep in mind when writing about the pokemon world in which Ava is living in, Kanto and Johto, is that it’s an alternate version of Japan. 

When I did research for her apartment I specifically looked at Japanese apartments. While most people don’t write Japanese honorifics in their dialog I try to imply it through their closest English counterparts whenever Ava calls a superior “Mr.” (Mr. Archer, Mr. Giovanni) or “Miss” (Miss Ariana). It’s difficult to do when our writing is all in English and most of us have never lived in Japan long enough to have a true understanding of the culture. I know that when Ava speaks in a different language the way she communicates would change, yet as someone who’s only known English all my life I don’t know how to convey that. 

Not that anyone minds but it’s something I try to remember.

5. What’s something only very few people know about your muse?

Considering my rewriting of Ava’s past is new, most people don’t know she actually came from a rich family (opposed to low-middle like she used to be). Her father is a corrupt politician so he has money. Of which Ava had little access and no control over while living with the family, and lost all access to once she left Orre. Ava knew what it’s like to live with abundance, and now lives with very little.

To Understand

You feel as if you cannot understand. Your heart desires to do so, but everything seems useless, or maybe like you've exhausted every possible option. You've probably tried hard, looking low and high. Opening every cabinet in the house, searching every drawer, looking under every bed. You might've ripped apart whole rooms looking, searching for exactly what you need. Maybe you feel you've run out of places to look, things to find, people to ask. The windshield is frosted over, and you're sitting in the car, waiting for it to melt on a cold, winter morning. Do you ship your muse with any canon characters?

Yes, but not officially yet. Although @of-tarnished-metal and I are casually working towards Ava and Silver becoming a thing. It’s going to be a long road for Silver to accept FEELINGS into his heart I’m sure.

I have no problems shipping OCs with Canons, as long as there’s chemistry. That’s the most important thing. And this is a multi-verse blog when it comes to ships.

Do you ship your muse with any other original characters?

Yes, but it’s not dash official. I ship Ava with @stargazingking since we’ve talked about it a lot OOC, but we haven’t RPed it out on the dash yet.

Of course I’m open to shipping her with other OCs too! With chemistry, as always.

4. What’s your favourite headcanon about your muse?

I have headcanons about Ava’s different circles of friends aside from the people she interacts with on the dash. 

There are co-workers she made friends with in the IT department. Some of them are complete nerds who play tabletop RPGs that she’ll participate in. There’s a group of gossipy Rocket girls who occasionally pester her for info or share their info with her. Ava also has online friends she keeps in contact with, such as fellow art people.

A little more important to her backstory, which I’m still ironing out the details of, is that Ava hung out with the Kids Grid group when she was still in Orre. Hanging around them was the beginning of Ava’s interest with computers and information technology. She still keeps in contact with them through their own encrypted chat app.

Will most of this information be relevant to RPs on the dash? Probably not. But it makes her more like a real person to know she has multiple groups of people she interacts with off-screen.

The room around you brightens until you are bathed in soft, warm light. You can feel something like a plush rug beneath your feet.
