There's an abandoned building in my own backyard. It's where my demons live, hidden behind dark shadows, ominous feelings. I can hear their mumbled voices from my bedroom lilt across the cracked pavement of my backyard, Their heavy stinking breath seeps through shattered windows, polluting the air, gagging me. clouded thoughts of insecurity and self-pity clash with the raging violence beating against the inside of my skull, all speaking in their convoluted tongues, screaming for me to free them. Their bellows ring in my ears like tinnitus, but I've yet learned how to drown out the sound. There's an abandoned building in my own backyard. It's where my demons live. And sometimes, I open the doors.

Quick update to brag about how great my life is for a sec:
Moved into a two story historic house downtown right by the arts district and my favorite bar
it was built in 1928 so statistically we figured it would be haunted (I mean, someone HAD to die in this house in the past 89 years right?) but we didn’t expect it to be as poltergeist ridden as it is. We named the ghost Judy. She doesn’t like us, we don’t think. We don’t mind her presence but having to pick up shit she knocks down isn’t cool.
The backyard is huge too so we might get some chickens. Stay tuned.
