Okay hear me out. Mumbo is an adventure time vampire. So he doesn't need blood he just needs to drink the color red. His favorite dish was Redstone because it's easy to gather tons of it without too much extra effort. And one day while bored he started experimenting with it and ended up becoming obsessed with making Redstone machines and now he's a well know Redstone engineer
