hope this isn't too out of nowhere but ik you're very critical of webtoon as a platform and often talk about how problematic it is, and something really frustrating happened to one of the creators i follow. where basically, they put out a new webtoon last week called 'Manny' and it's like all their previous works a horror story, but this week it was suddenly put on hiatus for over a month. apparently webtoon decided, after the release, to review the webtoon again and install new guidelines?? /1
Damn, so I did some digging into it, and yeah, you weren't kidding, WT literally cut A. Rasen short-
For anyone unaware, A. Rasen is also the creator of GremoryLand and Counting Sheep. Their specialty is horror, which is already a very underpopulated genre on the platform in terms of readers, but they've become known for making some of the best horror on the platform through existential storytelling and visceral body horror art. Guy is like the Junji Ito of Webtoons.
So yeah, hearing that they had started a new series and are now being cockblocked by Webtoons is, while unsurprising for Webtoons, still shocking considering Manny isn't the first webtoon they've done that's on the more viseral side, and since GremoryLand, WT has actually implemented age ratings.
I'm not sure what will happen to Manny after WT has run it through their "reviewing" process, and I feel like A. Rasen themselves are just as unsure considering this has never really happened to them before. I think it speaks volumes as to how little oversight there is in the editing process, as despite Manny having three editors, not a single person alerted A. Rasen to these content guideline violations until after the series was posted and well underway. It's not like there's a whole pre-production period where they could have done this review process that would likely involve shitloads of rewriting and redrawing /s
It also speaks to WT's ongoing issues with picking a lane. They have series that are literally softcore porn, but apparently Manny is too much? There's so much cherrypicking of the ToS happening between editors, not just in the Originals section, but in the Canvas section also, and it leads to a moderation process that basically boils down to "better hope you didn't get the stickler for your editor". I understand that WT has to have content guidelines in place for the sake of keeping their app accessible (as Apple and Google can and will restrict the WT app on their respective app stores if they feel content guidelines are being broken, and that includes content depicting blood, gore, nudity, sex, etc.) but again, it's the fact that this isn't A. Rasen's first rodeo on the platform but it's only apparently now an issue when the content moderation has been more lax in practice than ever.
So yeah, it sucks, and I wish only the best to A. Rasen as they try to sort this shit out with WT. Please go read their work and show your support! (*CW for blood/gore, violence, jumpscares, these are horror stories!)

Can I also say the trashta term is a literal overrated and not needed. It's literally used to female characters who disrupted the fl,stole the fls first love or something,is a slut,being a idiot or something. I mean no offense but when using that term,it's annoys a lot of people. Especially the authors who are trying to make a good villain. Yes,I know they are cartoonish villains but hey it works as entertainment that's it. The trashta term is fucking annoying same with the sovieshits term.
I especially hate how it’s used for every cunning female character.
Like 1) comes across as very misogynist considering the character doesn’t even get much screen time before they’re throwing Trashta around.
2) it’s just in general annoying. You’ll see 10 people calling them trashta at once. Webtoon comments were already really bad, but this took it to new heights.
3) it takes away from characters nuance too. Hell even Rashta loses nuance because of the misogyny. They don’t see her as a desperate slave girl insecure about her place for her babies. Just a cunning bitch.
My personal hot take is that Rashta can be as much a bitch as she wants tbh. It’s either that or slavery. And honestly it’s not like Navier nor the emperor ever did anything to help slaves. Why do people root for the top 1% and not the suffering slaves. They call navier perfect and caring but girlie doesn’t care about those slaves lmfao.

This is remarried empress related. But I found something out and I'm disgusted at Kaufman for now a year. The reason Kaufman drugged navier with a love potion is so that she can force herself upon sovieshu. Look,I admit,we all hate sovieshu but that doesn't give it alright that this is literally using the hate as an excuse to try and get someone SA. Seriously,what is Kaufman thinking. We may hate sovieshu but that is just fucking fucking low.
No one deserves r-pe no matter how bad they are. Committing sexual violence in response to his actions are horrible.

@saltynsassy31 Ok, so Hades was 19 when the war started. Kronos ate Hades at 6 years old and Poseidon was not mentioned implying he wasn’t born yet. This is also supported by the Wiki
Zeus frees him like 13 years after (Hades says ‘I was alone for 13 years’) making Hades 19 if he was eaten at 6.
However if we do further math and account for Poseidon being born after Hades was eaten at 6 then Poseidon would’ve been 13 and Zeus would’ve been younger when Hades was 19.
Supposedly, Metis slept with Zeus during the war so he could be older, but there’s an implication of grooming when Metis says shit like ‘he was very charming.’ (He’s a child)
and let’s say she did wait for him to be legal, that’s wildly creepy right? Like if a man waited for a girl aged 12… gross!
So the implication is childhood grooming and sexual abuse.
Can I just say, why is there such a focus on women being abused sexually for power in LO?
It’s horrible!
It’s implied Hera used her body to get close to Kronos
Demeter had sex with Zeus because she believed she’d marry him and be queen only to get tossed aside immediately.
(Sex by coercion is still assault I can’t believe I even have to say this)
Persephone gets sexually assaulted by Apollo.
And like why is SA being used as a way to create drama?!

Zeus would be 15-17.
So why tf is that his fling with Metis is played off as a joke?!
I’m so mad about this. Like harhar RS we get it ‘Zeus is manwhore’ BUT THINK ABOUT THE IMPLICATIONS
The way RS portrays SA as a joke or irrelevant until it drives drama and no other thing is GROSS
