"Ye."
"If you were expecting a rant, I don't have it in me today. Most of the people in this reality haven't even heard of the Inhumans. Wait — have you?"

"Christ lady, I don't fucking know what you wanted and I don't really care about whatever you got going on with his chest. See a doctor about that or something, I don't know." He made an active effort not to glance at her chest after saying that. "I only looked at you because you walked in front of me. What am I supposed to do? Keep my eyes shut?" His projected tone was calm, but annoyed.
"Hey, don't look at me. I may have a reality stone in my chest, but I had nothing to do with this. Do you think I wanted to be displaced and trapped in some bizarro New York?"

"Sorry." Jono replied looking at her forehead rather than her eyes. He'd never been great with eye contact. Usually when he made eye contact with someone they were either about to fight or be intimate, and he didn't think he wanted to do either with a tiger lady. "How the hell did our conversation go this way?"
"No, I'm not a furry. Yes, I happen to have fur, but I'm not — hey. Eyes on my face, not the tail."

"Sucks, innit?" Jono replied as he adjusted in his seat. His Doc Martins clacked against the floor as he failed to find a comfortable position. "Life's not fair. We bleed and suffer for everything we love or dream of and it'll still spit in our bleedin' faces and kick us when we're down. Surprised you 'aven't gotten used to it yet, love."
"You come all the way to a new reality just to find what — that the only thing you'd want to change is the same?" Natasha was still gone. Missing, not dead. It didn't matter. She was still out of reach. "I don't know. That doesn't seem fair, does it?"

"Yeah, I know. You've been telling me this since London." Jono projected with a telepathic scoff for extra detail. His ear quirked up in his attempt at a smirk. He continued to passively strum on the strings of his guitar as he slouched in his seat. No song in particular came out, just the sound of his boredom and idle hands. "So that what you're planning on telling the mutants that just got 'ere? Let 'em know how things go 'ere?"
"Oh, please. The X-men are a bunch of boy scouts. We're not all hopeless like that."

"Still on the brink 'ere, love." Jono projected unenthused. "Do our kind really 'ave to suffer on every world? It's bullshite."
"I'm not feeling particularly lucky right now, and that's saying something since we just left a reality where we were quite literally in the middle of going extinct."

As her eyes caught his flames he reflexively pulled his leather collar up a bit and turned his head to the side to adjust his wrappings. He was supposed to embrace his mutation. Lorna and the rest of the Brotherhood encouraged that, but he was still ashamed of it. The way it deformed him. The way it uprooted his entire life. How he always feels numb and cold like some sort of walking corpse. It was hard to embrace it the way so many of his compatriots had.
"It's not about what you think but what's true, innit?" He projected as he looked back to her. He shifted his guitar bag over to his other shoulder. "Got much closer you could you coulda' snapped 'er neck. Be more careful." He continued, his projected tone beginning to soften, feeling a bit guilty for how he started their interaction.
Daisy eyed the man in front of her cautiously, noticing the flames that started to peek out of the wrappings around his face as she held her hands up and stepped back. "Didn't think I was getting that close."

"Then get the caffeine and try to be more interesting, love. It's like talking to a wall."
"—No, no. As interesting as that is, I'm going to stop you right there. New reality plus no caffeine equals me being not interested right now."

"I'll let you know if I want a selfie once I lose the last of my dignity."
"Huh? Oh-- sorry, I don't do autographs. I might be able to squeeze a selfie in, though."

"I guess so?" Why was she talking to him?
"Shit must be pretty bad down here if they decided to call me all the way back down from space."

"For flying fucks sake. Could you give me some space, mate?" Jono projected annoyed as flames reached through his leather wrappings and licked his cheeks.
