Can I ask you a question? If Prismo is many years old, when did he meet Jake or did he meet him after Scarab or when he was still a human, I don't know馃槀
Jake is similar age as Scarab in this au. Prismo and him met before Prismo got to know Scarab tho, and Prismo easily fell for him. Too bad for Prismo, human hearts cannot be dictated.

Hi. It's me again 馃槄
Ok, I made some research...
It was kind of tricky because all the information I found was in English but, a little incomplete. But, I just found a youtube channel where a lot of native people leaved comments about these creatures and they answered my questions better than the actual video XD
To my understanding, Rokita is a protector of some kind. I'm not sure if the word 'devil' is a correct word to describe this creature, because the way I see it, that term falls into Christian terminology.
(And thinking about the mithology of my own country, there's no hell either. There's a specific place where the dead ones go, but they don't exactly suffer or something of that matter. I mean, they even have the chance to visit the living world in a specific time).
And also, I found some art about these creatures (I'm assuming they accurate) and I think I get now why you draw Prismo's horns like that!
Now I'll try to see this story more through mithology lenses than Christian lenses 馃
But I can't help it. I'm catholic 馃ぃ The first thing that comes to my mind is basically about sins, etc, etc.
(Scarab surely would have been an amazing teacher in my religion classes 馃ぃ馃ぃ馃ぃ).

Devil is a general word used for all sorts of demons in Polish folklore. Not The Devil, but a devil.
Rokita was extremely strong but not very sly. He lived in places that people believed were "doors to afterlife", which included insides of old willow trees! Which is the tree Prismo hides in.
Catholicism and folklore mix here and I hope they mix well, so it's fine! I just hope you're having fun ( 锛鞠夛季 )

So... If Prismo was a human before, does it mean he's a sinner? Or he got corrupted when going to hell, and that's why he took a demon form?
But, at the same time, it's like implied that Prismo was punished for something... hummm... I have a lot of questions 馃ぃ
Prismo was never in hell!
It's more like a second chance than a punishment. The nature saved him, in a way.
Now I can also say that he's based on devil Rokita from Polish folklore!

My hunch telling me that Prismo and Scarab only time they kiss in dream but not in public or real world cause Scarab is too embarrassed or not letting Prismo to give up his lust.
It's more about Scarab knowing his duty and he has a celibacy to uphold. He's trying to stay off of people's prying eyes. It's easier, in dreams.

It's great that you include a little of your country's folklore in these comics. Personally, when I read in the description 'Polish priest', this story caught my attention immediatly. I don't live in a Slavic country, but I have had contact with some traditions thanks to other artists. Flower crowns are an item I had seen a lot related to midsummer celebrations (I think I'm gonna do some research about them). Although in my country we also use flowers for certain celebrations, we don't 'wear them.'聽 it's interesting.
By the way, every time you mention that the story will get worse, I see Scarab lying in a field of flowers again and I say to myself: Oh God, enjoy it while you can 馃槚
Flower crowns shows up a lot in Slavic folklore and not only as a head piece! There's a holiday during summer solstice where young girls throw them in a river to find a husband! It's totally worth reading about.
They're also pretty ^^
The boys have a lot of moments that they should enjoy a bit more, because yes, I'm gonna try and show them the real horrors :)

Prismo doesn't have much of hypnosis powers. But he will try to tempt anyone, it's in his nature.
Scarab has to indulge Prismo tempting him with dumb things like sweets or naps every single day.
