Sometimes I look into Behind The Code's early development and feel both embarrassed and relieved that I won't be working on it for a while.

It really isn't much of a deal, but I know how I posted updates without really showing any progress. I'd write two paragraphs for the script, give up on it, come back two weeks later and start from scratch. And the period between each gap got larger with time.

Majority of the time I 1. worried about people's opinions on the storytelling 2. worried about not being experienced enough as a writer and as an animator to work on an animated series and 3. failed to realize I shouldn't work on an ambitious project like BTC by myself at a young age, while studying and working every day.

And boy, it was quite ambitious.

"The story should be impeccable, none of it should be even SLIGHTLY problematic or overly challenging. All characters should appear at some point (there are over 50 of them). The soundtrack must be perfectly fitting for the situation. It's fine if the animation seems flawed, but it has to be fluid 70% of the time. I must add secret characters and hidden easter eggs in every episode. There will be a total of 7 episodes, 20-45 minutes each. It must have voice acting..." and the list goes on.

A year ago I'd be very disappointed in myself for interrupting the project (or even accepting the fact I wouldn't do most of the things listed), but now I realize I was just a kid, doing kid things and having fun. I regret nothing, and at the moment, I truly wish to get back to BTC after graduating as a biologist and getting a job.

I think lil N.Freddy and N.Bonnie would be pretty cool with each other— N.Freddy’s responsible for his Freddles most of the time, but when he needs a break, N.Bonnie’s there to….steal them away and make N.Freddy freakout bc his mini-selves are GONE! *giggles and shrugs*

The Freddles names respectively are Biter, Drooler, Brute, and Tiffany (or just Tiff). Brute’s my favorite, reminds me of Dreadbear eheh

I imagined Afton would give them cool nicknames, like “Papa Brownie and his Crumbs” and “Big Mouth Jar Jar”, although the Freddles call N.Bonnie “RARA”

Hey gang, things are NOT looking good for us 😭😭😭 If Starbles choses to scrap BTC, I think I'd feel pretty bad about that. (it took me a LONG time to type that sentence and I feel sick to my stomach now) He is a grown adult now; she needs to focus on school and work. I say we let them do that. Even if it really fucking hurts I'm happy that the au grew a little community and honestly the artwork is still breathtaking to me, we can only hope they change their mind in a few years but I doubt it I will still share the BTC art that Starbs makes in the future, we have 2ish posts I think Goddddddddd this post really hurts to write dude, physically and mentally :( I know I keep yapping about "blah blah I was one of the first fans of this" but I really can't describe how much this project means to me

Facts, I luv the series because it stays true to itself (Even after Twitter went off on it for no real reason)

If you did decide to quit BTC, would you be willing to hand it over to someone who wants to complete it? Like obviously you're going to give the story to us as mentioned, but would people/fans be allowed to like. Continue the story? Or would you want it to remain as it is, unfinished? I know some creators prefer their works to be left undone to avoid warping of their original vision.

I think people are allowed to make their own stories based on Behind The Codes, but I don't plan on giving up authorship.

The story's gotten personal on various degrees, especially regarding the characters themselves. Writing something is pouring your heart into it, and though there are people out there with legitimately great ideas, methods and good approaches to themes I could never dream of developing, I still want to keep its flaws and loose ends. I would rather have the original story unfinished, than see it evolve into something completely different from what I had in mind.

Again, it's different from starting your own thing, make Behind The Codes the main channel to develop other ideas you might have.

On the Muffet/Ava’s Demon Controversy (And why it’s BS)

 I’m seeing the rumors and harassment starting up yet again, so I’m going to try to set the record straight. Yes, Michelle Czajkowski designed Muffet for Undertale, Yes, she also made Ava’s Demon, yes she had NSFW art on an 18+ only Patreon, NO, she is NOT a pedophile.

I watched the whole thing unfold, I was a Patreon supporter. The adult art could only be accessed if you were over 18, there was an age gate. The art all depicted the characters involved as adults with clearly adult bodies, there was no depiction whatsoever of pedophilia, rape, or anything of the sort. They were also made by her colorist, and not her directly, but that’s neither here nor there.

 The reason everyone believes it had those things was because a minor on tumblr paid an older friend to give them all of the art behind the age gate (which is very illegal, by the way) and I guess they didn’t realize “18+” meant “porn”. They went into panic mode, and made a long rant about it on their Tumblr, claiming Michelle was a deviant and pedophile “attracted to child characters” and warning everyone about her and included two screenshots as “proof”, the post then went viral.

 There’s several problem though, first off, the person making the post was, again, a minor who should not have been looking at such things and wasn’t mature enough to process it, two they seemed to be very anti-porn (which makes them wanting to get past the age gate so bad even weirder) and third, and most importantly, they cropped and censored the screenshots in a very particular way to make the characters shown appear much younger than the actual art, painting over anything that would show the shapes of their bodies, which would immediately discredit their claim.

 Since then, Michelle has received nonstop harassment and death threats from people who either don’t care enough to check for further proof, people who know and just like treating people like shit, and the hyper-puritanical crowd who think any depiction of sex is evil. She’s had to leave the internet on several occasions because the harassment has gotten so explicit its become traumatic. She’s explained all of this herself, but since everyone made up their minds about it, no one wants to listen to her, so I’m hoping I can use the bit of reach I have to put a stop to this. We used to talk quite a bit until the harassment started, and she went basically silent after, so I know how much it affected her.

TL;DR: Michelle had porn of clearly adult characters on her patreon made by her colorist, a minor got a hold of it and being sex-repulsed, they made a very inaccurate callout about it with edited screenshots that everyone ate up.

Watch out for this person guys (both accounts here is the same person), they are a scammer. I'm speaking on behalf of personal experience unfortunately because I was unfortunately subjected to this.

I failed to realize this was a scam/fraud email on paypal, they promised to pay me more than was necessary and I was roped into it. Luckily NO personal bank info or any bank related info was ever revealed, Paypal and my bank denied transactions. But the scammer wanted to get money out of me through gift cards. So the most they got was just that.

It is embarrassing and insulting I got subjected to this, but I needed to warn you all of it. Please stay safe everyone.
