Why do dance parents post about their sick child still attending a competition or showcase and “pushing/dancing through the sickness”…like???? That is not a flex. If your kid needs, for example, an IV or breathing treatments, they shouldn’t be dancing.

Maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but I think we as a society have got to ban kids costumes that give the appearance of nudity as well as the teeny tiny scraps of fabric. Bc seriously what is the point of skin-colored fabric costumes?? There are so many cute and APPROPRIATE costume designs, I hate that costumes have gotten so tiny and inappropriate. It just takes away from the art of the dance, and attracts creeps. Dance should do something similar to what competitive gymnastics does and set guidelines for kids costumes

The way that Mama Szyndlar posts sometimes I truly wonder what is going on at Club. Like some of the things she hints at being said to ED & SW are sad if they’re true…I hope the kids are all nice to each other and aren’t letting placements & titles and stuff cause drama. But I’m also a 5th grade teacher soooo it wouldn’t surprise me based on the way kids act nowadays

It kills me when Club kids post combos & tag the other dancers in the caption then have to simply write “ED & SW” because they got blocked 😂 parents blocking every single teammate for no reason will never not cease to amaze me

Not dance, competitive gymnastics, but I had a coach tell me that I was “garbage” “run like a sissy” and “you should just quit, your mom is wasting her money on you” (he said this knowing we were the poorest on the team too). Honestly probably plenty more awful things bc it was a regular thing from him, but those are the ones that stick out to me the most

It makes me sad that she is considered like super tall in the dance world and is insecure about it bc in reality she is perfectly average height for an 11 year old. I teach 5th grade (age 10/11) and half the kids in my class are 5’0”-5’5”

Why did I just see a HANDMAID’S TALE themed group dance?!?!

I’m probably the only one who thinks this, but I honestly wish all these competitions would just combine nationals (kinda how gymnastics and other sports do it). I think it would be so interesting to watch ALL dancers (who qualified) compete against each other at nationals. I feel results would be veryyy different and it would be cool to get to see different dancers shine than the usual BTF top placers

I truly feel so bad that Ellary Day wasn’t too tall when she first auditioned for Clara and then was too tall at the final audition. That’s really gotta suck as a kid not getting a big part like that just bc you grew a little. Happy for all who did get the part but sad for ED bc it seems she already struggled with height insecurity and this probably didn’t help. I’m glad she is Club’s Clara at least!
