“It’s not a trap, it’s- it’s...um...how did I get out of my dimension? Well, I think I was going to some other dimension, but suddenly, I came back to this one. It wasn’t even on purpose, but if it gives me a change to make peace with you, then whatever.”
He shrugged. Honestly, he wasn’t too sure how he had gotten back to this dimension, anyways. He thought that he’d blocked it off, actually, since he lost the game. It was his promise to go back to his own dimension, and though it was unspoken, he was pretty sure that it was also part of the promise to stay out of this dimension.

“Kid, kid, please, you have to listen to me! This isn’t just me playing a trick on you, I’m being honest here. I’ve moved on, I no longer want to eat your brains. I know, I may be the villain, but…villains can change sometimes, can’t they?”
Probabilitor thought that was a point good enough for the kid. Although, he probably should have stopped and realized that it most likely wasn’t going to be enough. The old man was actually getting his hopes up that Dipper would forgive him.

Alright, maybe there was the possibility that Probabilitor had changed, but it
was going to take a lot more to convince Dipper. He had memorized most of
the facts about Probabilitor from the Dungeons Dungeons and More Dungeons
wiki, and Probabilitor seemed to be someone to be c a u t i o u s around.

“I know, a ton of people get angry when I threaten to eat their brains. Well, actually, either angry, scared, or they just...I don’t know, some actually break down and start crying. But if you think you can help me out, that’d be great! And I’d help you by- okay, here’s the thing: I want to help you somehow. I don’t know exactly how, but if you ever need a...”
He looked down at himself, trying to find the right words.
“Um...if you need a lunatic wizard to help you with- I don’t know, your math homework or something, then you’d know who to call. Of course, I’d be willing to help you with more than that, but y’know...”
“It’s not really peer pressure, it’s more of an…uh…look, I’m supposed to be a villain, right? I’m just doing what I was made to do. Truth be told, as much as I don’t want to eat brains anymore, I don’t think I’m gonna be able to stop. I think it’s just like…I don’t know the right word. Fate? Destiny? Something like that, something I have no control over. Almost like being…controlled by something of a higher power, if that makes sense. So, fine. If you’re going to hate me for something I can’t actually control, that’s totally fine. If you don’t want me to help you with anything ever, that’s fine.”
