OUR NEW “MAIN”!
This is the last post that will be made on this blog (I’ll reblog it to the new main, too), so if you would like to unfollow the archive, then please feel free to.
You can find our new main page right here! Please follow it.
As you will see, there are very minimal pages. You will find a follow list which will remain updated as often as possible, a family masterlist which includes character names, ages and faceclaims, a birthday list (I will not be posting birthday reminders, so be sure to post about your own character’s!), an OOC list, a disclaimer, and a very short list of tags to track.
You will see that there are no biography posts, and there will not be! It’s entirely up to you whether you’d like a biography for your character, but you should just post it yourself and link it on your page somewhere for the rest of us to see. I won’t be posting them here to the main.
If you would like to pick up another character at all, firstly you should check with any other members of the family you’re wanting to join (purely out of courtesy, to be honest) that they’re cool with it, then simply make a new account and post the link in the OOC blog! I’ll make sure your follow gets added to the list on the main, though I won’t post it as its own, separate link.
Other than me keeping those pages up to date, there will essentially be no admin, so be sure to be communicative in the OOC blog if you’re going to do anything that you’d usually run by the admin!
NEXT STEPS:
Unfollow everyone
Stop tracking all priv tags
Follow everyone here
Track the tags found here
Jump back into the game!
You will see that most of the families are much smaller, and those who used to be multiples may have dropped to singulars, etc. Be sure to check on the family masterlist.
If you have any questions, I’m available for you to ask, but like I said, for the most part, there will be no admin, nor activity checks. I figure that if someone wants to leave, they can post in the OOC to unfollow them. If someone disappears, after a certain amount of time, we can collectively decide to unfollow them, etc. We’ll wing it!
I adore you all, and I’m super stoked to continue our game!

MORE CHANGES!
Good afternoon, lovelies! Firstly, I’d just like to apologize for ghosting; I’ve actually been going back and forth with what to do with the group, and I have written and deleted this post so many times now, I think it’s about time I just go ahead and post it.
I am really struggling to find the motivation to actually run the main page, which is absolutely no one’s fault. The group has been alive and thriving since August of last year, so it’s only natural that it’d eventually run its course. However, I will not be completely ditching.
However (x2), I will not be running the main page anymore. I figure those who are still here and still active are invested in their plots at this point, so rather than force people to be around and stick within an activity limit, I’m simply going to stop being the admin, and instead we will just play out the game at our leisure.
The OOC blog will remain where it is, so we’re still all able to plot and such in there! It will simply be a case of no main page, and sticking with only the characters we already have. We can still use the priv tags so we don’t miss posts and such! Just think of it as a smaller, more exclusive group, that’s all. One that we’re basically all running together.
My one last act as admin is going to be to ask those who would like to stay to LIKE this post on all of the characters they wish to keep. I’ll give people until Friday; at which point, I’ll remove everyone who hasn’t liked the post, then we’ll just proceed with those of us who chose to stay.
Feel free to keep posting on the dash! I plan to jump back in at some point today with my girls.
Thank you all for making this group as amazing as it has been! Hopefully, I’ll revive it at some point in the future. For now, it’s just all of us, so let’s continue to enjoy it together!

Are there no limits on how many people can have a specific plot now?
I wouldn’t say no limits. I mean, I’d prefer it wasn’t a case of everyone randomly having a baby, etc. But within reason, I’m not trying to limit people. Things are much more relaxed now that we’re invitation only.

So since this is a closed group now, would that mean that if your character is a senior/graduating that you would still have to put them in further schooling or can you start to play out their post-grad life?
Despite this being a closed group, it’s still the same premise. Therefore, we’re still working on the basis that the dash is a private site for all PSU students. This would mean your character would still have to be a college student, whether they’re just taking one part-time class, etc.
Nothing has changed minus the fact that the group is now invitation-only and the activity limit has been extended a little.

TW: Slight abortion mention.
Aaron Hollick and Prisha Bhatia didn’t plan on having a child. Though, when you’re seventeen years old and only three months into a relationship – you don’t necessarily think that far into the future. What once started off as a simple relationship ended in Aaron giving Prisha an ultimatum: “you terminate that baby, or we’re done.” Due to her religious beliefs, she knew she couldn’t have an abortion. Instead she hid her pregnancy from her family and friends, and planned to give the child up for adoption. Somehow, no one noticed. Somehow, Prisha carried the child to full term without anyone ever blinking an eye. And on May 6th, out came a beautiful baby girl. One that she couldn’t bare to hold knowing that she’d be shunned from her family had she decided to raise the baby girl.
Instead, Ashley Sterling held her in her arms and immediately fell in love. The adoption was a closed one, and all parties agreed to never be in contact with one another ever again. The baby girl, named Samaira (a nod at Prisha’s heritage), was a Sterling now. And that was all that mattered to Ashley and Jonathan.
Growing up with the Sterlings was incredibly easy. Both Jonathan and Ashley showered Samaira in love, and it was often that the young girl forgot that they weren’t her biological parents. They would often tease her, asking her if her skin color wasn’t enough of a give away. Everything was simple, and they were happy.
And then came Maxwell. One day as Samaira was fiddling with her Easy Bake Oven, Jonathan came home with a boy – a little bit older than her. He was covered in cuts and bruises and clearly, in Samaira’s mind, was way too skinny. Though her father told her to be mindful, she ran towards him quickly and took his hand. “Hi, I’m Samaira! I have some Hello Kitty band-aids and I’m making cookies in my oven right now. Do you want some?” While he was older than her, she felt this need deep in her chest to take care of him. Even then, she’d sensed something was wrong with him and all she wanted to do was make sure that he was happy, just like she was happy. Easily enough, he became her big brother and it was everything she could’ve asked for.
And then they were a family. Growing up in the spotlight never bothered Samaira, as most of the time Jonathan and Ashley made sure that it was never too in her face. While she knew that they were known in the world, she wanted to keep mostly to herself. Her small amount of friends and her family was all she needed. Instead of going out to parties in high school, she spent time at small gatherings with her friends and though they’d drink alcohol like everyone else, they’d keep to themselves. It was how she preferred it, even if it was completely opposite of her brother. He did convince her to go to parties every now and then, but Samaira only agreed to make sure that he was being safe.
After countless hours of binge-watching crime shows and crime documentaries, Samaira felt as if she found her calling. She knew that real life was nothing like media, but she still craved to know what was going on inside criminal’s minds. Why they did what she did. Deciding on which school to go to was easy – she’d follow Maxwell just about anywhere she went, as she was now known as 'his shadow’, always making sure he was okay (especially after the incident). Pacific State was now her home, and she felt content in her life. Though, really, she always had.
BABY, THERE'S NO OTHER SUPERSTAR
Sam dresses in what she deems as 'simple’. She keeps it to short leather skirts, a blouse or loose t-shirt on the top most days. On her feet, she’ll wear flats or a pair of comfortable all black sneakers. If she’s feeling more 'lazy’, which is most days, then she’ll opt for a pair of jean shorts due to California’s weather. Her dark hair is wavy and barely touches her shoulders.
YOU KNOW THAT I'LL BE YOUR PAPARAZZI
Jonathan Sterling was one of the biggest shooting guards in the NBA, helping the Los Angeles Lakers to many NBA championships. Ashley Sterling (née Matthews) was a sideline/courtside reporter for ESPN, where she met Jonathan. Now, both Jonathan and Ashley work for the network. Jonathan, as one of the NBA analysts and Ashley, as one of the morning anchors on SportsCenter.

OLIVER WILSON-JONES ➝ SECOND SIBLING
I'M YOUR BIGGEST FAN
❖ FULL NAME: Oliver Zachary Wilson-Jones. ❖ PRONOUNS: He/Him. ❖ AGE: 23. (June 21st). ❖ BIRTH ORDER: Second. Adopted. ❖ GRADE: Part-Time. ❖ MAJOR: Architectural Engineering. ❖ SEXUAL ORIENTATION: Bisexual. ❖ ROMANTIC ORIENTATION: Heteromantic. ❖ FACECLAIM: Freddie Stroma.
I'LL FOLLOW YOU UNTIL YOU LOVE ME
Truth be told, if Oliver were to be asked about his earliest memory, he would say he remembered singing. Not by him, though. Never him. He had the type of voice that wouldn’t ever compare to his mother’s, or even to the constant humming done by his little sister. Still, all he could remember as a young boy was the melodious, dulcet tones of the two most important people in his life. Oliver, on the other hand? He quickly took to playing football with the other boys around the block – though he unfortunately realized after playing every position imaginable that it just wasn’t his sport. One day, after a crushing pick-up game had left his spirits low and a split-second decision to take the long way home from the fields made him stumble upon a beat up basketball court, he knew that basketball was it for him.
For an hour after every school day ended, Oliver found himself using his football as a basketball and shooting from every spot on the court. At first, he was completely awful – his shots barely hit the net, much less the rim. It took time until he was comfortable enough to ask to be signed up for a basketball team; a rarity in South Shields. No one truly cared about basketball in their hometown, as Newcastle United FC – or football, in general – were what most people cared about. Not him, though. His dream wasn’t to play for the Magpies. His dream was to play in Chicago, Los Angeles or Boston, much like Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson and Larry Bird did in their day.
Even though playing basketball in America was Oliver’s dream, he didn’t let that deter him from what was important – his mother and little sister. Even though he was constantly practicing the sport, he always made time for them, especially Roxanne. Even if she didn’t see the looks strangers gave their family, or she simply ignored them, Oliver saw everything. He knew everyone wondered about the girl with different colored skin than them. To everyone else, she was different. To him, she was his sister. To him, the fact that they didn’t share the same skin or hair color didn’t matter; what mattered was that they shared blood. That was the reason why Oliver, even though he wasn’t a Jones by blood, made sure to change his last name to Wilson-Jones at age eighteen. That was his sister, and he’d be damned if anyone thought differently.
At age eighteen, even though it was a rarity, Oliver Wilson-Jones had been given a basketball scholarship to one of the most prestigious basketball programs in America – Duke University. Even though the last thing he wanted to do was leave his family behind, they all knew that this was an opportunity he needed to take. Coach Krzyzewski was one of the most influential coaches in basketball history, even coaching the US Men’s team in the Olympics – who was he to pass that up and remain in England, playing for some mediocre team when he’d been given such an opportunity on a silver platter?
At Duke, Oliver excelled both on and off the field and though he cared about his studies, the NBA quickly came calling. After one year at the university, he declared for the NBA draft and was promptly drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers. It was a dream come true for him, especially since he got to learn the game by watching and playing with one of the best players in the history of the game. After their retirement, Oliver was left as the young face of the franchise. It was tough at times – they were young and inexperienced and for the first time in a long time, the Lakers were one of the failing franchises in the NBA. Not for long, though. Oliver was sure he would be the one to turn things around for the franchise.
Though Oliver knew basketball would take up most of his time, the fact that Roxanne had enrolled at Pacific State changed his mind about school. Well, that and seeing how everything could change in an instant. One injury and his future could be done; and he knew he needed an actual career to fall back on. So, he decided to study part-time. It would take much longer to get his diploma, but he didn’t care. With playing basketball, doing all he could for Marcus Jones’ charity – something that had made Marcus proud that he was also donning the last name, enough to formally and legally adopt him as a token of his appreciation for taking care of Roxanne for so long – and studying, he knew he’d be constantly busy. But, he didn’t care. He had the life he’d dreamed of as a boy in England.
BABY, THERE'S NO OTHER SUPERSTAR
Throughout the basketball season, Oliver lets his hair grow to his natural blonde curls for a couple of months until he gets tired of it and cuts it all off; it fluctuates with his mood. Off the court, he’s dressed fashionably, every little detail is meticulously taken care of even before he steps out of his house. Because he has his own signature shoe with Nike, Oliver is usually seen wearing either his own shoe, or any Nike model known to man.
YOU KNOW THAT I'LL BE YOUR PAPARAZZI
Marcus Jones is an incredibly well-known actor. Instead of starting off with commercials and television shows, he jumped straight into movies. He also speaks out for black youth and has his own charity at the moment that helps out the community of Flint, Michigan – by the name of We Matter. Ayana is a famous volleyball player and is often compared to Serena Williams, and people tend to argue on who is better, Ayana or Serena.
