Nothing. I'm just not very optimistic.

I should go dye my hair after this conversation.
Tumblr media
Nah, I’m more into brunettes, actually.

'Cause life is short and shitty. Might as well drink while you can.
Tumblr media
No promises. Is there a reason why you want to get drunk on a Tuesday to begin with?

I feel like you'd literally forget about me at the bar and worry about the cute blonde on the end.
Tumblr media
I’m a bartender. It’s my job to look over drunk people.

Wrong as usual. Maybe I just don't trust you to look over me while I'm intoxicated.
Tumblr media
Oh really? And I thought you had actually grown to like me. Guess I was wrong.

If I do decide to get drunk, I think I'm going to go out of town to drink. No way in hell I'm going to hang out with you tonight.
Tumblr media
Well, college is about new experiences, isn’t it? If you’ve never gotten drunk on a tuesday night before, then this could be your chance.

Just keep me away from alcohol and we're all good.
Tumblr media
I don’t know what to tell you then.

You seem to forget that I'm still on college and have things I need to get done.
Tumblr media
So? Everyone gets wasted on tuesdays. Or at least… the people at the bar do.

I'd judge myself. I have shit to do tomorrow; can't be hungover.
Tumblr media
Go ahead and drink. No one will judge.

Aurora couldn't help but smile at him and shake her head. When he left, she turned her head so that her cheek was resting on her arms. Truth be told, she was tired as hell. But, she had said she would be there and it was Dominic, so she came anyway. When he came back, she took her arms off of the bar counter and watched him pour a glass. Once it was full, she took a small sip and turned back to him. "Duh. If you weren't, I would have totally bailed."

Dominic studied the girl, never moving his eyes off of her as she thought. He nearly chuckled at her answer, but stopped himself, realizing how it would sound. Nodding, he replied, “Yeah, we’ve got some in the back. Give me a second,” he said before heading into the fridge, pulling out a decent sized bottle of chocolate milk before walking back to the bar. Some of the customers shot him weird looks, which he ignored as he placed it on the counter, grabbing a glass and nearly filling it up. “So I really am special then?” he asked, a sort of teasing smile on his face.

Aurora crossed her arms on the bar, resting her chin on her arms. "Anything?" She asked, then grinned widely. She considered her choices carefully, then raised her eyebrows. "Do you guys have milk here? 'Cause I would literally die for some chocolate milk right now. Don't make fun of me." Aurora told him, letting out a quiet giggle. "Good. You should."

Hearing the door open, considering the absence of the usual noise of the crowd, Dominic looked up, his lips curling into a smile at the sight of Aurora entering. “Well, you don’t have to drink,” he said, leaning his arms on the bar, a towel hanging from the back of his neck. “Not alcohol, at least. I’ll make you anything, so choose wisely.” He grinned, shrugging. “I do feel pretty damn special.”

The girl behind the desk made Aurora fill out something on a clipboard, even though she was freaking out. She scribbled across it before she was led to the back. They did the normal things, weight, height, temperature, before leading her to a room with the number '204' on it.
She took a few deep breaths as the doctor spoke to her, asking her a million questions at once. Though, honestly, all it was doing was making her head hurt. As another nurse walked into the room, she took a deep breath and identified her carefully. She listened to her talk to the doctor, but didn't take her eyes off of the woman. The woman - Kayleigh - began to speak and Aurora let out a shaky breath. "I, uh, peanuts." She told her after a moment, her mind beginning to get cloudy.

The hospital was short-staffed. It was only Kayleigh and a few other staff members. They didn’t expect it to be this busy at 9 o’clock in the evening. Kayleigh was just finishing up with a little girl who had gotten her arm caught in a fence and had been bleeding pretty badly.
"Nurse Kayleigh Curtis, to Room 204. Nurse Curtis, Room 204." The intercom stated. "Okay, dear, I have to go now, but keep that bandage on for a few days." Kayleigh told the little girl. She hurried to Room 204 as instructed. There was a teenage girl there, although the lights were kind of dimmed, with a doctor at her bedside. The girl looked like she was having difficulty breathing. "What’s the status?" She asked. "Food allergy." The doctor answered. Kayleigh nodded and the doctor walked out of the room. "Hello there, ma’am. I’m Nurse Kayleigh Curtis, and I’ll be caring for you to…" She trailed off. This girl… she was beautiful… she looked like an angel sent down from Heaven. "Ahem. I’ll be caring for you tonight. Now can you tell me what food you ate that caused the allergic reaction?"

Speeding down the road, Aurora looked across the streets. Her throat felt like it was closing and her chest felt.. clenched. This had only happened one other time, except she had her parents and she was only 13. It wasn't her fault that she couldn't tell certain nuts apart.
Aurora was beginning to have a mental panic attack at this point. She couldn't breath at all by the time she pulled into the parking lot. Everything was a blur as she rushed into the ER. Strolling up to the desk, she stumbled a bit before she let out a quiet mumble, trying to speak. "I-I can't breath.." She got out finally, looking up to the woman behind the desk. "Food.. allergy."

Aurora sighed as she took a seat at the bar stool. She found herself drinking often lately, though maybe it was because she had to spend a whole month with her parents. At least she had an excuse with Dominic. Sitting up, she took a deep breath and looked across the bar until she finally spotted Dominic. "Not even sure I want to drink right now." She admitted, shrugging. Aurora had been drinking too often lately and alcohol was beginning to taste like water. "But, here I am. Feel special."
