Listen, don’t let all of the hate get you down. While I personally disagree with your post, I don’t think you made it with the intent to harm or due to Kat’s skin color. That being said, if you haven’t yet, you might want to delete the Kat Edison tag because people on that tag are typically the biggest fans. Good luck and please don’t let people upset you too much. Thank you and I hope you have a nice day too! And I hope you don’t think I look down on you or anything for liking Kat. Her personality isn’t my cup of tea but it’s totally cool if it’s yours. Every character has great traits about them and if you love her for those traits then that’s amazing. Because Kat does have some great things about her like her creativity, work ethic, and willingness to work through issues with others and give second chances. And I’m sure you can think of a ton more and that’s okay. It’s okay that we don’t agree. 

Nowhere in my response did I call YOU a racist. I said what you were suggesting was racist. I messed up the last sentence when I meant to say "no matter your intent, that's the bottom line." Killing off a black character to add drama and give white characters something to "overcome" is, at its core, racist. And I believe you weren't racist in intention, especially being black yourself. To avoid backlash in the future you might want to keep your posts out of the Kat Edison tag.

My bad, I’m sorry. I took it wrong. Sometime when I see the word racist it makes my blood boil and I see red. I’m sorry for putting words in your mouth. However I disagree because if kat was white and straight I would say the same thing. And their are other black characters on the show which they can turn into main character like Alex. I love Alex and he would be a great main character. a black straight male working as a writer for “fashion/style” women magazine. Is breaking so many black male and male stereo types. And making him a front runner on this show would make my heart burst. And i posted in the Kat Edison tag because I like to keep my blog clean so I tag everything. So Jane is immature too, of your own admission. Yet, she shouldn’t be killed. Only Kat should be killed? And calling out her friend’s racial blind spot is self centered and immature? Lol you can’t be serious. That’s a reason for her to be killed?

Hey that’s a good motherfucking point! Let’s kill Jane off too. They can kill them off together in a car crash while they are carpooling to some event. I said Kat because she’s the one that is driving me the most crazy out of the two in this moment and it doesn’t look like it’s stopping anytime soon. Jane has cooled down a bit. And killing off two main characters doesn’t sound like the best move. And I also view Jane as the real female lead out of the group based off of last season even though I really wish she wasn’t. Jane should go back to faking it because I adored that fucking show. Hate that it got canceled. 

So I don't want to attack you, because that's a bad way to start any conversation. I'd like to say that killing off the only main character of color on the show would be a HUGE mistake for the writers. Killing of a bisexual character of color on top of that? Horrendous. Implying that killing off a fundamental piece of the fabric of the show would improve the storyline by aiding the development of other straight, white characters is racist. No your the intent, that's the bottom line

I appreciate your first sentence and completely agree, but then you went off and called me racist when I’m black, puerto rican and native american. Seeing how all my ancestors have been wronged by white people since the second they came across the americas that kind of hit a nerve. But I’ll move pass that because you didn’t know. How could you? It’s not like I have it posted somewhere. Anyways, I see your point about the show getting backlash for booting Kat. Which I totally get that and don’t want that, which is why I said do it in a few seasons that way they can replace that representation with one or two new people of poc and lgtbq+ community. Like Angie becoming a main character would be great. I like her so far. And Kat being killed off wasn’t the only suggest. I would be down for her marrying adena and moving to paris. Maybe they can get their own spinoff together that way Kat fans can have kat and I can my other favs in peace. Even though I’ll miss adena because her storyline is honestly the best and most interesting to me because I don’t know any muslim people. And her prospective is super interesting to me. I said killing her off because it was the most dramatic and would effect ever character and even Scarlett itself drastically and that effect could last a whole season or two. I guess character development was the wrong wording maybe? I was getting at their would be way more storyline to play with with Kat leaving the show by death than any other way. 

not to be fake deep but like average poor kids deserve affordable higher education too lmao. we shouldn’t be expected to get a perfect ACT, work 40 hours a week, do another 20 hours of extra circulars, be on the honor roll, take only AP classes, have a 4.5 GPA just to have a CHANCE at being able to afford college. esp when avrage rich kids can go wherever the fuck they want with a subpar GPA and test scores.

I’m being called crazy, stupid, and told to kill myself because I don’t like a fictional character and suggest killing off a fictional character as the way to write them off to prove the maximum amount of drama, character development for it’s other characters and shook for all the show’s views. How am I the crazy one for expressing my opinion/problem with the show, giving reasons as to why I feel this way, and giving a solution to my problem? I’m not saying ban the actress or kill the actress. She’s a great fucking actress! My problem is with the people who write Kat Edison, because I was so excited for this character and this bisexual storyline, and the writers have made her a bad friend on a show that’s centers around three best friends and an immature and self centered person. I expressed my opinion and now people are attacking me and I’m the crazy person?

I suggested killing her off because 1 that’s how most shows write people off and 2 her death would affect the whole cast in a drastic way because she is such an intricate part of the show. Her character is connected with every other character but Richard and pinstripe guy. However, her death would still affect them because it would affect the other two girls. It would be the best way to write her off and give closer to her fans. But I would still be more than happy with her ending being her and Adena getting married and moving to Paris. I get how great and important her sexual identity issues where I loved that storyline seeing how I have struggled with my sexual identity and figured out that I’m demiromantic and bisexual. In fact, I relate a lot to Kat more so than any other character on the show. About her sexual relationship issues because I also have commitment issues, I’m also multiracial, I have a funky relationship with my parents hers healthier but still. How just because we have a few things in common shouldn’t be the only reason to love a character or like one for that matter.  Plus her sexual identity issues are over, she’s accepted the fact that she’s bisexual, she knows and is working on her commitment issues, her parents accepted the fact that she is bisexual. She doesn’t have any more sexual identity issues and they can easily bring someone in with other sexual identity issues. Also, there will be more bisexual characters and other characters who deal with different sexual identity issues she’s not the only one and won’t be the last. People are realizing just how big the lgtb+ community is and how sick they are of being gaybaited and unrepresented. Hence why Kat is even a character on a mainstream network like freeform.  And as for fundamental evidence as to why she is a terrible friend, immature, and self centered, a perfect example is last week’s episode and her situation with Jane. And I think Jane is pretty immature as well.  When Jane told her about the not getting the job a mature person and good friend wouldn’t have brought up the fact that Jane shouldn’t feel the way she does because of white privilege and diversity being a good thing at that moment. Kat should have had that discussion with her the next day so Jane could have time get over the pain of not getting something that felt like the last hope to her. And that discussion should have happened in a way where Kat isn’t putting Jane down for feeling the way that she does but instead teaching her to better express herself that doesn’t make her seem entitled or better than and to be self-aware of her own privilege next time something like this happens. She took Jane’s anger about not getting this job as an attack. Kat took it as if what Jane thought she was trying to do at Scarlett was wrong. Which clearly wasn’t the case. This situation had nothing to do with Kat yet she made it about herself while overlooking and dismissing one of her best friend’s feelings. And I’m not saying that Kat was wrong about bringing Jane’s privilege up to her, I’m saying her timing, tone, wording, and overall handling of how she did so was fucked up and showed just how immature and self centered she is and how those two things make her a bad friend. There are tons of other examples of it too, not all of them perfectly intertwined like this but certainly more of them.  Oh and just because I don’t love one character isn’t going to make me stop watching and supporting a show that I’m in love with every other character. Well, I’m okay with Jane I’d rather she be a secondary character and not a main but still. Hell, I hate half the cast on Grey’s and still watch that fucking show every Thursday at 8. 

I’m watching this show called the bold type on freeform. I love the show but I fucking hate Kat Edison!! She is so immature and self centered and a terrible friend. I really wish in a few seasons they kill her off or write her off and make Sutton the main character. Although, in the last few episodes I’m not sure if I like the way she’s been behaving. Kat makes this show almost unbearable more so this season than last. I hate kat so much and I honestly don’t get why people like her. Yeah, she’s beautiful and I LOVED her sexuality storyline, it was legit amazing, and the actress is fantastic but Kat Edison is trash. I want her off the bold type so badly.

Alec had to admit it got him hard. And he felt like his whole world was crashing down. He felt betrayed, But he was going to do the only thing he was good at. The other’s words were like daggers, even though West knew that Alec cared. He had to care, right? West bit his lip at Alec’s questions. He deserved it, the coldness, the passive aggression, all of it. “it wasn’t worth it,” he mumbled in a sad response. “I didn’t sleep with him but I almost did.”

“Your mother hates me and to be honest I think I hate her too. Your dad seemed cool though. ” Christopher confessed once their were alone in the other's childhood room. He had thought all parents loved him. Chris was the ideal boyfriend in his eyes, he had a good job, he was kind and funny. Yeah, he worked crazy hours and might be a little bit of a hot head but he was still fucking great in his eyes. It was a shell shock to have the other’s mother not like him.  “Did she tell you why she doesn’t like me when she pulled you into the kitchen?” he asked as he started to unpack their clothes. It was going to be a long weekend.
