"HEY! you guys free?" - the blonde asked with a huge smile on his face, looking so cheerful one wouldn't believe he just walked out of an affected building. the person passed out in his arms was in urgent need of help, and the crew reacted immediately.

"thank you!" she responded with a smile, guiding the hero to place the person on a stretcher. as she did, she looked at the man with curiosity; all draped in leather and spikes, he looked damn cool. "that guy sure knows how to stand out", she thought. catching her glance, he smiled back, and before the technician knew it, he ran back towards the affected area.

"he's lucky to have such minimal internal injuries, that guy," she pointed out, reflecting on their latest patient.

her partner nodded as he fiddled with the lighter.

"ah, i should really invest in a pricey one. so fed up with these little shits breaking." he mumbled. "be right back, i think i've got another one lying around somewhere..."

his annoyed swearing became unintelligible as soon as he disappeared into the ambulance. the technician laughed to herself; the guy always made her smile with how fed up with life he seemed at times.

"HELLO AGAIN!"

a loud, familiar voice got her out of her head. she jumped a little with how unexpected it was.

"aahh, didn't mean to scare you!" here he was again, the hero from earlier, and her eyes lit up with curiosity.

"hi again," she smiled, entertained by his attitude. "anything else we can help with?"

"oh, yes, and it's extremely serious..." the hero lowered his voice as he came closer, almost as if he was about to share a huge, dark secret.

"...can i get your number??"
