saw a post recently that said our brains can't differentiate between real and fictional people when it comes to loving them. then the replies were saying how sad it was that that means we will all, always, experience unrequited love, because our brains simply can't understand that they're not real people, and the same can apply to anything else we love that physically cannot love us back.
but i don't think that's sad. because its not unrequited. in essence, love is happiness, so if it's in our lives and it makes us happy, it's like its loving us back.
