As you all probably know by now, tumblr is getting rid of all adult content. So after the 17th, I, along with other blogs, will probably be inactive on tumblr and will be moving platforms. Since December of last year, when Tumblr launched their ill-conceived purge, we have been at the grindstone trying new approaches and coding our brains out in an effort to rescue the community Tumblr executives so carelessly abandoned.
Now we are at the point where we will be inviting you, our Indiegogo donors, who have believed in us and the community, to see what we have been up to. Keep in mind, this is no where near a finished product. There are bugs, errors and warts, so please keep that in mind.

One aspect of the MojoFire project has been to make something better than Tumblr. Cloning Tumblr won’t make anyone happy. Before the purge, were you happy with how things were on Tumblr? I don’t know anyone that was. It just got worse and worse and worse until multiple communities, some fragile, got destroyed under the boot of Tumblr.
Enough bitching about Tumblr, let’s look at your future.
Let’s start with post types. Tumblr has Text, Photo, Quote, Link, Chat, Audio, and Video. We will be changing this somewhat.
We are dropping Quote. Essentially a Quote post is just a formatted text post. Quotes are one of the least used post types. Dropping it makes our site cheaper to run and faster to develop. Instead of maintaining something that is rarely used, we can use those resources to build something new.
Chat is not going away but it is being baked into the site. Instead of having to create a post to start a conversation, MojoFire will have multiple entry points to start a conversation. AND, if you are not into conversation, this feature can be turned off. In fact, it will be set to off by default. You will actively need to turn chat on to use the feature.
The other post types will work more or less the same. Link posting, and media embedding of audio and video files will work like most other social media sites.
We have some new post types we will be discussing in the near future. Stay tuned for all the updates!

Goodbye Everyone
Honestly, thank you so so so much for the last 7-8 years that we have shared. This community was such an incredible outlet for me to discover who I was sexually and was such an incredible safe space to work through so much of me that I was not able to do prior to the formulation of this website.
i have met some truly incredible people through this and I am forever grateful for knowing them.
To my followers, thank you all for being cool as fuck! From your insightful questions, to your beautiful submissions that expressed who you are that you felt you could share with me. Seriously thank you. I hope you all continue to discover who you are in a healthy and safe way!

We aim to educate the community with vital information about safe sex, sexually transmitted diseases, sexual etiquette, consensual sex, sex positivity. We also want to have open conversations about the issues; sex addiction, pornography addiction, body imagery and many more. Its time to start respecting sex again as a community, and we’re going to get the conversation going. We’ll shed light on a few other values values that we think the world could benefit from. We are absolutely open to suggestions here as well.

We are currently developing a social media platform that allows you to upload all of your old blogs from tumblr, and continue where you left off.
We want to inform you of some things that we will allow on our site. We have been also working on a number of legal documents to ensure your safety when participating in our community. Please keep checking out the website for the release of these important documents. Please follow our guidelines… really, we don’t have that many.
We Encourage - Nudity, sexually explicit content, consensual sexual acts, and NSFW (Not Safe For Work) content.
We accept - people’s blogs of all sexualities: including, but not limited to - straight, bisexual, lesbian, gay, transexual, pansexual and the list goes on! We also accept blogs from the BDSM community. If your “area of expertise” isn’t listed here, just let us know in the comments below!
We will not tolerate - Child pornography, zoophilia, or any other content that breaks local, state, federal, or international laws.
We pledge to create a safe place to migrate your old blogs, and to truly become the community’s new home. We have a multi stage implementation process in the works to ensure our users have the best experience possible on our site!

A: Of course you can! Our community is open to whatever it is you have to offer. But we wanted to be clear that we openly accept explicit / mature / adult content as well (as long as it complies with our legal documentation, which will all be available on our site before we launch).
Q: “Will there be iOS or Android Apps?”
A: At this time, we are focusing on creating the browser based website so people can start on Cumblr before D-Day. We are aiming to create mobile applications in the near future after we launch, and also plan on optimizing the web-app for mobile users. It is likely that Apple and Google Play will not welcome our app on their stores, but we will have direct download links available on our website once we have developed them.
Q: “Will we be able to upload our old blogs?”
A: YES! We are working on implementing an upload feature as we speak on our test servers.
Q: “Can I sign up yet or is it still too early?”

A: Cumblr ™ will be strictly 18+. You’ll be able to find the full details once we publish our legal documentation.

A: As of now we aim to make the site free to everyone, with plans to add premium subscriptions that allow for enhanced features. While donations are completely voluntary, at this time our project is 100% funded by community donations.

I read an article today about what this website is doing and came across something interesting. An alternate place to explore. “Mastodon” stated they were aware of the Tumblr “porn” bloggers plight and have made it known they are more than willing to receive “refugee’s” (they didn’t say it like that, I did) 😏😉😄 ~ I am going to check it out and tell you what I think ~

A New Hope
I’m not sure at this point if a post like this is just screaming into the void or not (what even happened today here?!? I can’t even keep up at this point…), but there are still important things to say. If people see this - great - if not - then it is what it is.
I’m going to begin by saying how I have been so impressed with the way we - the NSFW / adult content bloggers - collectively as a group - have helped and supported each other through these last few very shocking, confusing, and trying days. This in most ways has been a supportive place (though not always perfect as we all know), and it’s good to see that manifest itself in this new way as well - even in a bad situation.
There have been a lot of posts I’ve seen about the various different platforms - and I know we all seem to be scrambling to find the best one.
I’ve also seen it said that none of them “are Tumblr” - and I happen to think that’s both good and bad. Good because of what Tumblr has turned into this week, bad because while we’re moving onto other adventures in other spaces it won’t be what we had here.
Or is that actually the case? I’ll confess this has been an overwhelming few days thinking of having to leave this space, lose our blog, lose much of what we shared (all our pics were already backed up - I’m meticulous about my organization regarding our pics) - not to mention the daily roller coaster of changes they seem to keep throwing at us. It’s come to mind more than once to just quit. No more photos, no more blogs, no more sharing. I’m sure we’re not alone in this.
Then it hit me when I was driving to work this morning and saw the Alliance Starbird pictured above dangling from my rear view mirror. I keep it there as a reminder of many things that are important to me - and because of it - I had a moment of clarity today: the realization that Tumblr isn’t a “place” - at least not anymore. It’s us collectively - the community - the NSFW / adult content content creators - we are the people that really “made” Tumblr in many ways. To be clear - coders, developers, staff, executives built a template - a mechanism - which in the end is just “thing”. To be fair, it was “a thing” that we used and were grateful to have had for over the last 5 years.
That being said - in the midst of creating content, re-blogging, supporting fellow bloggers - we collectively as a group of people willing to share some part of ourselves - with some measure of luck - created our own community. Some may see what we did as just posting “explicit” or NSFW content - but that’s not really understanding fully what it was that we all did.
So whether we are on this physical site or app or not anymore doesn’t matter in some way, because the physical site of Tumblr is just a “thing” - and that thing is each day becoming closer to Verizon / Yahoo’s version of Alderaan. We as a community whether on Tumblr or not - our connections and friendships - those things as a sum are greater than just this one “thing”.
Over the last few days we’ve begun to spread near and far like the rag-tag rebellion resistance moving onto remote bases like Hoth and Yavin 4, as we move onto Twitter, MeWe, Sharesome or OnlyFans, and other far flung ends of the social media galaxy.
My point to all of this - we are in contact with each other - supporting each other - doing our best to move on, and at the same time keeping going some slice of what we have created here. It goes with us because we all helped to make this place what it was for our community of diverse but like minded people.
Normal people, who were open to sharing a part of themselves with strangers - some who became confidants and friends - and who are now helping each other keep those connections going. That’s us as this larger group - that’s not this “thing”.
Wherever we all end up, we represent - A New Hope - and Rebellions Are Built On Hope.
Like the representative symbol of the rebellion pictured above - the Alliance Starbird - we are - our community that we collectively formed here - we are the Phoenix rising from the ashes - wherever that may be.
The Force is indeed strong with us.
