For this project I decided to create a lamp surrounding the idea of Bauhaus. I decided to use multiple colours because I was inspired by Bauhaus designs from the colours the used as well. to improve my work I decided to go onto photoshop to make the piece more abstract.

For this piece I decided to make a spatial interior design piece. I created pieces on card then scanned them onto photoshop to transform the shapes, sizes and colour. This piece was from the Melbourne festival brief which was chaos. I decided to approach it in a different way because I wanted it to be different from the other pieces that I made.

This piece I created was form the use of petals and a screen print. I used oil based paint so you can get the detail from the flowers. I used different colours to see if the paint colour would change the details of them. I created different layers so you can see the details in colour with the form of paint.

I also used screen printing for this piece. I created my designs in tracing paper with a sharpie so when It was transferred onto the board the design would come through. The 2 pictures on the left hand side were create on photoshop by repeating the same patterns again and again. Each later is a different colour and I decided to contrast some of the colours as well.

these pieces are called positives and they are used to be put on the boards of the screen prints. I used geometric, 3D and circular shapes. the lines had to be thick enough so they can go onto the board because if they aren't they wont come through.

Here are a few examples of the pieces that I made. I used different papers and fabrics to see how different the designs would look like. I contrasted some of the colours of the design to the paper and also from the completes designs as well.

for these pieces I used different fabrics with different designs. I created the design shapes myself by making them on card and sticking them onto the foam boards. this was so I can control them better. I scanned the pieces onto the computer and them edited hem onto photoshop. I adjusted the colour, exposure of light and the shapes. for some of them I added thread as an outline so the pieces would stand out more. I created some of them onto fabric which became by final design for the FMP. Then I create them into a lamp and a cushion to expand on my idea and work.

the ideas of this piece was to use different geometric shapes and lines as well as materials. I overlapped the layers to create patterns and placed different materials to give it different textures. I took inspiration from different areas of the room in college and out of college to help me create the final pieces.

For this piece I experimented with different materials such as chalk, graphite, pencil and paint. I used different areas of the college such as the walls. central heating, floors and many other places. this showed the different textures and the different layers that were there to give it some detail.

I had taken some images in the dark room of plants, mostly leaves. then we had to put the picture in 4 different stages with different liquids so the picture would come through. the pictures came out amazing, you can see the different shades of the pieces and the details on them as well. you can see the different layers which I created when I was taking the pictures was well.

This was the first project I made in this year. This was for the Melbourne festival, where we placed our piece in public so people can see the work. it was a group project, there were 3 of us in a group. we created a full size 3D person. then we decorated the bike with different materials, with different textures. we also used different colours which would stand out from the bike and form the other pieces on there as well. Overall the piece turned out better that expected.

This brief was about the light festival GLEAM. I decided to create lanterns in different shapes such as the traditional cylinder. I used different materials such as the hot glue, wire, scissors and paint. for the circular one I used a balloon he create the shape then paper mache this was to create a base with structure. I then used paint to create a moon like design from which I was inspired by at the GLEAM festival. For one of the circular pieces I make circle holes and the other used a craft knife to add slits so the light can shine through.

These pictures were take in the dark room where I used a light bulb to illuminate the pieces. the piece that worked amazingly was the circular one with slits in it because it reminder me of the sun. The rectangle/hexagon shape lamp you can see the detail from the paper come through including the hot glue design.

As the piece I made for the light festival GLEAM reminded me of the sun I decided to create the solar system. I uses the same piece but went onto photoshop to change the lighting, colours, rotated them, changing the exposure of them creating some dark areas and light areas. I placed them in order of the solar system. I took a picture of were I thought I would look amazing at and decided how they would look on photoshop. This became my final piece for the GLEAM festival.
