What is the Proper Pool Maintenance During a Vacation?
Keeping your pool clean and water crystal clear while you're away this summer isn't nearly as difficult as you may think. No one wants to come home from an enjoyable vacation to a problematic pool. Here are our tips from the pool maintenance experts at Pool & Spa Depot for how to maintain a pool while you're enjoying a much deserved vacation.
  Check Your Water Before Departure
Checking your water and making sure that the water chemistry is balanced will go a long way in correcting and preventing any issues before you take off. You can do this yourself or bring a water sample in to have it checked professionally.
BONUS TIP: You may want to consider super chlorinating your pool before you go if you don't have a friend or neighbor who will be able to look after it for you. Many experts recommend doubling the amount of pool shock than you typically would use and to run your filter for at least a couple of hours. But be sure to test the waters when you return to ensure that the chlorine levels aren't still too high!
  Cover Your Pool
This may seem like a no brainer, but a surprising number of Nashville and Bowling Green pool owners who regularly perform pool and spa maintenance fail to cover their pools prior to leaving on vacation. Not only will covering your pool keep debris and dirt out of your water, but it'll block the sun's UV rays, which expedite algae and bacteria growth.
BONUS TIP: If you have a winter cover, use it when away on vacation.
  Invest in a Timer
Our final tip for how to maintain a pool is to invest in a pool timer. A pool timer is an absolute must-have as it will allow you to run your filter automatically for any desired amount of time on any day without you needing to physically be present to press the “on” or “off” switch.
BONUS TIP: If possible, invest in a timer that will allow you to split up run times to keep you pool waters as clean as possible.

The Shocking Truth About Perma Salt
Every year the pool and spa industry is flooded with new “innovative” products that promise to make pool maintenance easier and less expensive. One of the most prevalent in the market today is the Perma Salt System.
The problem with the Perma Salt System is that it is largely misunderstood by pool and spa owners. Contrary to popular belief, it's not a salt generator, and it isn't able to convert salt into chlorine.
So what, exactly, does it do?
  An Ionizing “Purification” System
The Perma Salt System uses copper ionizers to kill bacteria, microorganisms and other pesky things that we don't want living in our pool water. Here's how it works:
An ionizer containing a copper block is plumbed into your pool's equipment
When the pool pump is turned on, water flows through a tube to the copper block
An electrical charge is sent to the copper block which breaks off small pieces of copper
These pieces of copper are then dispersed throughout your pool, killing unwanted pathogens and other microorganisms in your pool water
Because the block is being broken down each time water flows through it, it does need to be replaced every couple of years.
Why Perma Salt Doesn't Clean Your Pool Water
The Perma Salt System is touted as being a natural way to clean your pool water while also simplifying the pool maintenance process.
But it definitely falls short, and here's where it happens.
In order for your pool water to be clean, two things need to happen to those unwanted microorganisms living in your pool:
a) They need to be killed; and
b) They need to be removed
The Perma Salt System does the first part just fine. The problem is that it doesn't have a way to “oxidize” or get rid of those things that you've killed. Additional steps have to be taken to make sure that your pool water is clean and healthy.
The result? You still end up using chlorine to keep your pool water clean. Though advertisers of this type of system say that fewer chemicals are needed to keep your pool water clean, those who regularly work with pools often find that there is no difference in the amount of chemicals needed in a pool with an ionizer and a pool without one.

How to Prevent Pool Water Evaporation
Today there are over 10 million residential pools in the United States alone, and it's estimated that an average pool of 10,000 to 15,000 gallons will lose the entirety of its liquid contents every year due to pool water evaporation. While some pool owners may have accepted water loss as part of the cost of pool ownership, we know firsthand that many of those thousands of gallons lost every year can be salvaged and saved.
How Much Water Are You Losing?
To give you an idea of how much water you're losing to pool water evaporation, it's time to take out your handy pool volume calculator and figure out just how large your pool is, and then perform a bucket or tape test to see how much water you're losing a day. The average pool will lose anywhere from 1/4″ to 1″ per week.
Pool Solutions for Pool Water Evaporation
Pool Cover
The first of these solutions is one that far too few pool owners take advantage of. When pool owners use a swimming pool cover, they can reduce the amount of evaporation by up to 95%! Pool covers come with a host of other benefits, including:
They help reduce the growth of algae and keep debris out
Requires less chemicals and backwashing of your pool
In very hot areas, pool covers can tend to retain heat. So consider a reflective pool cover to curb any heat retention and keep the pool water comfortable for swimming.
  Install Windbreakers
A 7 mph wind has the potential to increase evaporation losses by 300%. Break the wind by installing fences, trees, and shrubs around your backyard pool to reduce evaporation losses. BONUS: Install drought-friendly plants in your backyard to save even more water.
  Establish Perfect Timing
Timers can be installed to standardize how often your pool pump runs and how often pool features run as well. Timers will keep your pool pumping consistently and help keep water fountains, waterfalls, and water slides off when not in use since aeration increases evaporation.
  Keep Splashing to a Minimum
A good solution for preventing pool evaporation is reducing the amount of splashing water. This can be done without sacrificing summer pool fun. When filling your pool, be sure not to overfill to minimize potential loss. Check pool fill valves regularly. A fill valve can get stuck and overfill your pool, especially when you're out of town for summer vacation.
  Hire a Professional
Pool owners that maintain chemicals properly reduce the frequency of draining a pool. Pools seldom require a draining so ask or hire a professional before doing so. Sometimes, pool service companies can even perform maintenance or repairs without having to drain your pool.

A Swimming Pool for Any Backyard
Swimming pools are not one-size-fits-all. There are various types that will work best for your backyard. If you're in the market for a new swimming pool, be sure you do your research before deciding, and let the professionals at Pool and Spa Depot help you decide what pool is the perfect fit for your backyard.
  Inground Gunite Pools
First, an inground gunite pool is a great place to start when reviewing pool types. These pools are made by mixing cement, sand and water, and then spraying the mixture through a pressure hose. This produces a dense layer of concrete that serves as the pool's foundation.
An inground gunite pool has many benefits, including:
They are highly durable
They can be completely customizable when it comes to shape and size.
You can design almost any features to add to the pool, making it as ornate as you'd like.
  Fiberglass Pools
Another option to go with is an inground fiberglass pool. Fiberglass is a material made from weaved pieces of glass threads and coated with a polyester resin. They also come ready in one piece, with a variety of shapes available.
The benefits of inground fiberglass pools do not disappoint:
They can be installed very quickly – sometimes in just a few days!
Fiberglass pools do not require resurfacing or liner replacement.
You can install fiber optic lights for those late-night swims.
  Vinyl Liner Pools
Not interested in either of those types? Don't worry because inground vinyl liner swimming pools are a great decision, as well. These pools are made by covering a sand or cement floor with a measured piece of vinyl over the top.
Here are some of the awesome benefits of inground vinyl pools:
The vinyl is very smooth and will not crack like a traditional cement pool.
They are usually less expensive than a fiberglass or gunite pool.
They are flexible, which means that you can have almost any shape for your pool.
  Above Ground Pools
If you're still not feeling any of these options, then an above ground pool may be the best option for you. These pools are pre-made and installed in your backyard without any digging or excavation. That's right, you can put it almost anywhere in your backyard and even move it around if need be.
There are many benefits of above ground pools that make them a great option:
They are usually the most cost-effective option for a pool.
They're made tough – they can survive harsh winters and you can winterize the equipment pieces and bring them inside.
They come in a wide variety of sizes made to work in almost any backyard.
No matter which pool type you choose, owning a pool is fun for you and the whole family. At Pool and Spa Depot, we sell, design, and build every type of swimming pool available We carry inground gunite, inground fiberglass, inground vinyl, and above ground pools. With hundreds of options to choose from, you're sure to find the pool that works for you.

5 Pool Care Tips for the Do-It-Yourself Pool Owner
Summer is almost here, and it's time to start prepping your pool for all of the fun you'll have with your family! After you've opened your pool and cleaned it, there are a few more pool care tips from the experts at Pool & Spa Depot that will help you keep it running and looking its best all summer long. A little ongoing maintenance and care will help you avoid any problems that could mean less pool time during the peak months.
Keep Your Pool Free From Debris
How can you do this? Great question! If you don't have a skimming net, go out and make the investment. Take 30 minutes out of your day (or maybe assign it as a summertime chore for the kids) to skim the pool to remove bugs, dirt, and other debris. Make it a time to relax and enjoy the calming water. If there is dirt on the bottom of the pool, invest in a pool vacuum to prevent that from coming to the surface.
Dealing with Sunblock and Other Oils from Lotions
That's right, when folks hop in the pool, all of the oils from sunblock don't just disappear. They stay in your pool. Not something you want to keep building up, right? Throw a tennis ball into your pool. That's right, the velvet-like surface of the tennis ball can soak up all of these oils and keep them out of the pool.
  Always Keep Your Filter Clean
Just because you skim and vacuum your pool often doesn't mean that there's no debris and dirt. Switch your filter to the backwash setting in order to remove these items that may have gotten stuck. However, be wary of doing this too often. Try to follow the manufacturer's recommendations because cleaning it too much can make it ineffective.
Pay Attention to Areas Around the Pool
Is your pool surrounded by loose rocks or sand? If so, these may get kicked into the pool often and could mean that you'll need to keep a close eye on the area. Sweep around the pool often to keep any debris as far away from the pool entrance as possible.
  Check Your Chemicals Often
As a pool owner, you know how important it is to maintain proper water chemistry. Every week, test the chemical balance in your pool with pH strips that can let you know how alkaline or acidic your pool is. Ensuring that these are in balance will prevent harmful bacteria growth in your pool.
At Pool & Spa Depot, we love our pool care DIYers! Stop by anytime to talk with one of our experts. We love answering all your questions and talking all things pools and backyard. Essential Pool Safety Tips for Summer
With summer just around the corner-and National Water Safety month this May-now is the perfect time to make sure those long, sunny days sitting poolside are accompanied by some smart water safety habits. Because, of course, the best way for you and your family to have fun at the pool this summer is staying safe.
Although most pool safety practices may seem obvious, there are still some that can often be overlooked. Here are some of the biggest pool safety mistakes that you should be careful to avoid this summer.
  When to Learn to Swim
One common mistake parents and guardians make is thinking that their child is too young to learn to swim. Even at very young ages, just a few months old in fact, children can learn infant aquatic survival skills. These essential skills will allow children to stay above water and even make it to the edge of the pool on their own should the need arise. Check with your local swim academies to see if they offer infant survival skill classes.
  Is Your Pool Completely Safe?
If you have an older pool, drain entrapments can be a commonly overlooked danger. You should make sure your pool's drains and pump systems are in compliance with state and federal guidelines. If you need to, contact a local pool company to update your old equipment to new pumps and drains that adhere to strict safety standards.
Also, be sure to pay attention to the area around the pool. When not in use, keep your pool deck and surrounding areas clear of toys and other objects that can be tripped on or can lure children towards the open water. Better yet, install a safety fence around the pool. These can be basic fences or decorative wrought iron fences that can even enhance the beauty of the poolscape.
Depending on Floaties and Life Jackets
It's very important to remember that floaties are not life-saving devices. They are to help children stay afloat and enjoy the water, but should never be depended on for anything more. Even life jackets are only to aid in helping to protect children. There is no substitute for constant adult supervision.
Even more, floaties can give children a false sense of security when it comes to being in the water. Therefore, it's good to make sure they have plenty of one-on-one experience in the water without float accessories so that they don't think they'll easily float anytime they're in the water.
  Keep It Safe
It is always better to be safe than sorry. Even if they seem obvious, make sure you and your family review and commit to the following tried-and-true pool rules. You can even have every member of your family take the Pool Safely Pledge.
Do not swim alone or allow others to swim alone. Always use the buddy system, even in public.
Make sure you and your loved ones know how to swim properly.
Learn CPR
Do not leave children unsupervised by, in, or around the water.
Have inexperienced swimmers and young children wear flotation devices even out of the water. Only take them off when in close contact with a trusted adult.
Be cautious around water even if you do not plan to swim.
Avoid alcohol use and consumption when around water.
Designate one adult to be the “water watcher” so that there's no confusion about who's supposed to be monitoring the water
Install barriers around your home pool and hot tub.
Make sure pool enclosures surround the entire pool and are at least four feet high. Be sure there are no gaps or holes in or around the enclosure. Make sure all latches are completely secure, and that there are no tables or other objects near the enclosure that can be used to climb over the enclosure.
Avoid Pool Safety Mistakes and Stay Safe!
You and your family can have a great time this summer by avoiding pool safety mistakes and following these safety tips. If you are in the Nashville area, find out how Pool and Spa Depot can help make your existing pool even safer or build a brand new one with all the latest safety features and technology. Robotic pool cleaners are low maintenance, as they have their own built-in filtration and self-containing filter bags

5 Good Reasons for Vinyl Liner Replacement
It's been said that nothing lasts forever, and this is particularly true when it comes to the vinyl lining of a swimming pool. There are a handful of reasons you may want to consider a vinyl liner replacement. Some are obvious while others may be less noticeable and could cost you a considerable amount in the long run. Today we are going to cover the top five reasons for a Nashville vinyl liner replacement.
Your Vinyl Liner Is Cracked and Torn
The leading reason for a vinyl liner replacement is because the liner has become cracked or torn. While some smaller cracks and tears may be repairable with an easy to use DIY repair kit, larger cracks and tears may require a complete vinyl liner replacement.
Your Vinyl Liner Is Stained and Faded
From the moment your vinyl liner is put in place, it will begin to naturally fade as it is exposed to UV rays and the chemicals from your pool. Over time, algae buildup, rust stains, and faded vinyl liner patterns will begin to have a negative impact on the overall aesthetic appeal of your pool. A vinyl liner replacement will brighten up and refresh the appearance of your poolscape. It will even look brand new again!
Your Vinyl Liner Is Leaking or Seeping
If you are losing water on a regular basis, there is a good chance there's an undetected tear in your vinyl liner. To protect the walls of your pool and its foundation, it is critical that the liner be replaced. Otherwise, you may be facing costly repairs in the near future.
Your Vinyl liner Is Stretched and Wrinkled
Vinyl liners lose elasticity and plasticity over time. If you notice loose fittings around the pool's skimmer and return jets, beading in the liner, or have “air pockets” around the liner, it is time for it to be replaced.
  Your Vinyl Liner Is Old
The vinyl liner of a swimming pool typically lasts between 6-12 years, and that is if the pool has been regularly maintained and kept in pristine condition. If you have a vinyl liner that is nearing a decade or older, it may be time to consider a vinyl liner replacement to avoid any potential issues later on.
As tempting as it may be to avoid small issues and try to get more life out of your pool's liner, it is best to be proactive and go ahead with a vinyl liner replacement to avoid additional costly repairs. Speak to a Nashville vinyl liner replacement expert at Pool & Spa Depot today! We have five locations to serve you, including our brand new PSD Express in La Vergne.
Contact us or give us a call today at (877) 563-7665 to talk about giving your pool a brand new vinyl liner. Or, you can even click here to go ahead and request a free quote.

Smart Tips for Your Nashville Spring Pool Opening
All across the Nashville area, the opening of the backyard swimming pool signifies the end of winter and the beginning of warmer temperatures. Here are some spring pool opening tips to get your pool back in tip-top shape. By performing these few swimming pool maintenance duties, you can keep your swimming pool sparkling and healthy all season.
  Removing the Pool Cover Correctly
As tempting as it might be to just pull it off and dive right in, it's important to take proper care of your cover. Keep it in its best shape with just a few simple steps:
Remove any dirty standing water (a wet/dry vacuum works well)
Clean off any leaves or other debris
Hose off the cover with clean water
Fold the cover over to one end of the pool and remove
Lay flat and thoroughly clean with a mild detergent or cover cleaner
Allow the cover to fully dry before folding it up and storing it
  Check Your Pool Water Levels
Even with a pool cover it's possible to have lost some water due to evaporation. Do a check to make sure that you have the proper water level in your pool.
Taking Care of the Pool Equipment
Inspect your pool pump and lubricate or replace any o-rings needing some extra attention. Now is also a good time to do an inspection of your pool's plumbing connections and visually inspect all of the other equipment. Once visually inspected, power on the equipment and look for any drips or leaks. Continue to replace any o-rings as necessary.
  Maintaining Your Pool Chemistry
Proper pool chemistry is essential to keeping your waters clean and pristine. Before adding any chemicals, bring a sample to us to have it analyzed for free. Once your pool is balanced, then add chemicals. Let the pool run overnight and then retest the water.
If you're needing a bit more help revving up your pool for spring or would like the trained eye of a Pool and Spa Depot professional to ensure you pool is safe and spring-ready, contact us today to schedule an opening or for any other questions you might have about your spring pool opening.

The wide selection of models available makes it possible for pool owners to choose the best automatic cleaner for both their poolscape and their budget.

Summertime often means high electrical costs, and making your pool work overtime because of dirty water can unknowingly add to those costs. But keeping your pool water clean can cost as little as 5 cents an hour with an Aquabot automatic pool cleaner.
Aquabot robotic pool cleaners run on low voltage, and they have the capability of running independently from your pool system. Because it is also circulating your pool water at the same time, it can maintain your water temperature, improve the consistency of chemicals in your pool water, and it can reduce the amount of time you spend running your costly main filtration system.
Robotic pool cleaners make life easier. We want you to enjoy less time cleaning and more time relaxing this swim season with an Aquabot automatic pool cleaner.

The World's Easiest Workout?
It's a new year and, for many, that means a new resolve to get in shape and start living a healthier lifestyle. And for a low-impact routine that packs a big punch, you can't go wrong with swimming pool exercises. One of the common swimming pool exercises is pool walking. This is an easy and effective water activity that requires absolutely no swimming skills or equipment – just you, your pool, and maybe some music to keep you going! When performed in waist-deep water, pool walking combines the cardiovascular effort of aerobics, the toning of weight training, and the enhanced flexibility gained through yoga.
Fact: Due to viscosity, drag forces and frontal resistance, water provides a resistance which is proportional to the effort exerted against it. Resistance in water ranges between 4 and 42 times greater than in air – depending on the speed of movement.
This means that you will be burning more calories in the pool than on land!
  Benefits of Swimming Pool Fitness
Water is a natural and instantly adjustable weight training machine, providing resistance in all directions to tone and strengthen the muscles. Because of this, walking in the swimming pool promotes balance in muscle development in addition to the cardiovascular benefits.
Water workouts effectively burn fat and strengthen the abdominal muscles. This is the result of your body stabilizing itself while maintaining balance as it reacts to the buoyancy of the water around you. The movements are low impact and joint friendly, helping you prevent injuries as well as heal them.
In water, resistance determines your intensity. You are in charge! Go at your own pace – set your own intensity level by incorporating speed, force, or surface area. Adding arm movements under the water will add to the challenge since the arms have to work to propel you through the water; by increasing speed, you increase the intensity of the workout.
Walking in the swimming pool is an easy and fun exercise that can be performed at your own pace and intensity. It is a fun, simple activity that is great for almost any fitness level and those whose swimming skills may be less than par, or anyone else who wants a change-of-pace workout!
  Brentwood Swimming Pool Fitness Tips
We've gathered a few tips to help you get the most out of your pool walking workout.
Switch up your speed and intensity at random intervals to get the most out of your pool walking workout. You may not be able to keep up high-intensity spurts for long, but keep working them in. This gives your heart and your muscles a better workout and studies show that this kind of interval training can stimulate your body to burn fat even after your workout!
Consider wearing a baggy t-shirt or shorts to create additional drag. This will give you a better workout.
Make sure you maintain an active pace that keeps your heart rate up. But if you're not able to carry on a conversation, you may be pushing yourself too hard. Ease up a little until you feel an improvement in your breathing.
Once you feel the pool walk is getting easier, it's time to pick up the pace or bring in some extra resistance. Try incorporating water weights for an added boost to your routine. If you don't have any water weights, just fill an empty carton of milk with water until it's the right weight for you. Pump your arms in the water while holding these weights and walking to increase the challenge.
If you are looking for a simple, yet effective exercise that's easy on the joints and good for nearly any fitness level, then pool walking is for you. The healthier lifestyle you want could be as easy as getting in the swimming pool. That's especially true if you have one right in your backyard.
There are so many benefits to owning a pool, from fitness to fun and family memories. Contact us today to get started!

Hot Tub Health Benefits: Hydrotherapy
Hot tubs not only provide a luxurious spot to relax after a long day, they also provide a number of health benefits. Advanced hydrotherapy and water jet massage have always been an integral part of hot tub technology. Most modern hot tubs feature powerful jets that can deliver invigorating massages to sore muscles while also easing aching joints.
Hot Tubs Can Ease Muscle and Joint Pain
One of the most widely known benefits of having a hot tub is muscle relaxation. Buoyancy, heat, and massage work together to create a relaxing and soothing hot tub experience. The heat elevates the body temperature which results in the dilatation of the blood vessels, increasing blood circulation. Buoyancy, on the other hand, reduces weight bearing effects of gravity which provides a gentle relief from joint and muscle pressure. Hot tub jets provide massage action that provides a perfect combo of warm water and air through jet nozzles that gently loosen tight muscles.
Hot Tubs Can Help Manage Arthritis' Symptoms
The heat from the hot tub can also relieve muscle aches and help with joint pain from arthritis. Sitting in the hot tub, you can adjust the power and direction of the hydrotherapy jets to target your most painful areas.
Most cases of Arthritis involve the following symptoms: pain and stiffness, swelling, and even loss of joint movement or function. A common symptom relief intervention for people with Arthritis is soaking in a warm hot tub. This is one of the most non-invasive ways to manage and minimize pain, discomfort and further joint and muscle damage – plus it is safe and effective!
The Arthritis Foundation strongly recommends soaking in warm water. “The research shows our ancestors got it right. It makes you feel better. It makes the joints looser. It reduces pain and it seems to have a somewhat prolonged effect that goes beyond the period of immersion,” Bruce E. Becker, MD explained. And if you suffer from arthritis pain, you probably already know this to be true!
Check the complete article from Arthritis Foundation Here.
Hot Tubs Can Promote Better Sleep
Soaking in the hot tub is an effective precursor to a restful sleep. It can lower stress levels, which is one of the biggest deterrents to a good night's sleep.  Again the heat, buoyancy and massage alleviate pressure on muscles and joints – all causing a great full-body relaxation.
To use your hot tub to improve sleep, take a good soak in the tub each night just before going to bed, letting go from the stress of the day as you relax. You'll be amazed at how quickly your body responds to this new routine.
For the best hot tub prices and selection, come to Pool and Spa Depot with locations in Brentwood, Clarksville, Cookeville, and Bowling Green. We are the local hot tub experts and can help you choose the right hot tub or spa for your lifestyle and budget.

10 Ways to Enjoy Your Outdoor Living Space Through the Winter Months
The weather may be getting colder, but that doesn't mean the good times on the patio and in the pool need to come to an end. We've compiled a list of 10 ways you can keep your outdoor living space fun even during the fall and winter months:
  1. Bring On the Heat
Adding a heat source is one sure way to create an inviting outdoor space for yourselves and guests to enjoy. Choose from tabletop designs or full-sized patio heaters to add both warmth and ambiance to your pool and patio area.
Perhaps you could even add a pool heater to keep your water nice and warm no matter the weather. We carry energy-efficient pool heaters that will provide unlimited fun without adding much to your energy bill.
  2. Create Fire
A heat source may make the area warm, but fire features are what will draw friends and family members outdoors. From simple pits and ornate firebowls to stately fireplaces, homeowners can pick and choose the features they want to create the atmosphere they desire.
  3. Dress It Up
Adding a bit of wintry décor is a great way to add some flair to your pool and patio area, even if you aren't outdoors. Choose a selection of staple winter items that continue to be in season even after the holidays come to an end, such as holiday wreath and fern tree, and place them around your pool and patio.
  4. Light Up the Night
Lighting is a must if you want to create a welcoming space outdoors. Strings of white LED lights are an economical way to add some extra twinkle to your backyard, though there are a number of other options including pathway lights, pot lights, and more. We can show you some amazing custom lighting options at our store.
  5. Change Your Water Color
Darkness comes sooner during the winter months, which can make the pool and spa appear rather dark and dreary. If you change out your standard bulbs with some bright and festive color LED lights, it'll be hard for friends and family to resist taking a dip.
  6. Cover the Patio
Not only are exposed patios during the winter subject to increased wear and tear, but covering the patio or creating an enclosure will create a warmer breeze-free spot for everyone to lounge and enjoy.
  7. Make it Cozy
Typical plastic patio chairs and loungers may suffice during the summer, but in the winter when it's already difficult to beckon others outdoors, it's all the more important that you add plush pillows, throws, or even completely replace the furniture on your patio and around the pool and spa. We have a great selection of outdoor furniture to choose from.
  8. Add Entertainment
Some homeowners may choose to install a television outdoors, though for those of us who haven't, you can create your very own projection screen and watch shows and movies outdoors and under the stars. All you need is a projector, a white shower curtain, a wood frame and a staple gun and you're set!
  9. Create a Coffee, Tea and Hot Chocolate Bar
If you already have an outdoor kitchen, this will be simple to create. For those who don't, you can build your own and make it as basic (such as placing a hot plate with a kettle on a table outside) or complex as you wish to match your outdoor décor.
  10.  Throw a Party
What's the point of a beautiful outdoor space if you don't show it off and entertain friends and family! Come by today to browse all the options we have to help you create a breathtaking, fun, or casual outdoor living area.
We have it all – grills, outdoor furniture, hot tubs, and more that will make your backyard THE place to be this winter.

The Health Benefits of a Hot Tub or Spa
When looking for ways to improve our health, diet and exercise are usually the first two things that might spring to mind. But have you considered adding a hot tub or spa to your healthy living routine? They have many surprising health benefits.
Stress Relief
Hard work, whether at home or on the job, causes stress. Stress can manifest itself in many ways, both physically and mentally. It causes us to be wound up and tight. Spending some time soaking in a hot tub can relieve these symptoms and help you feel more relaxed. And that's good for everybody.
Warm water causes your blood vessels to dilate, which increases blood flow and lowers your blood pressure. This, in turn, increases the amount of blood that gets to your muscles and brain relaxing you and helping you to reduce stress.
Reduces Pain
Do you suffer from issues like back pain or arthritis? Several medical studies have shown that these types of issues can be helped by spending some time in the hot tub. Sufferers of chronic lower back issues and arthritis have reported that time spent in the warm water help to reduce pain.
Exercise
Wouldn't you love to exercise by simply relaxing in a hot tub? Soaking in a hot tub or spa gets your blood flowing which is similar to the effects of cardiovascular exercise. The warm water and jets increase your heart rate while at the same time lowering blood pressure. Although you don't burn the calories associated with cardiovascular exercise, regular use of a hot tub or spa can give you the some of the health benefits of exercise without causing stress on your heart.
Massage Therapy
One of the most beneficial parts of a hot tub are the water jets. These jets create pressure in the same way you would experience if you were getting a massage. Most hot tubs can be configured to change the pressure and amount of water that comes through the jets and this can help hit certain spots on your body.
Massages loosen up cramped or tightened muscles. This allows for greater range of motion. It also alleviates pain that can be caused by sore or overworked muscles.
Looking for a Hot Tub in Nashville, Clarksville, Bowling Green & Cookeville?
