I just had a dream that there was this new game that came out and JonTron hated it so much, he said “If you ever play this game, I will age rapidly in protest.” Eventually, everyone started 100%ing the game and the next time Jon made a video, he is in his mid 70’s.

In Super Mario 64, this unused message exists in the code. It was supposed to be said by a Boo as it plays a Boo laugh when it is displayed, and would likely have appeared in Big Boo’s Haunt. When the game’s memory is modified to access it in the finished game, it appears at the start of the game instead, and is overlaid over Mario’s head on the title screen. Attempting to dismiss the message only makes it reappear with another Boo laugh sound effect.

could you imagine if our world was a donkey kong 64 world and so it would have a boss door with various portals leading to it but the banana count to unlock it would be ridiculously high as the entire world population can contribute to it. and over time people would take turns feeding troff n scoff tens of billions of bananas until one day the door finally opens and one person is able to fight the boss but we have no idea who they are other than the image everyone sees on the door. so decades are spent trying to find this person and people are lining up at the door trying to get in even if they look nothing like them. one day said person is finally discovered and it turns out they died 20 years ago

In New Horizons, if the game can't load an NPC due to their referenced model name being invalid, or for other reasons, the game will instead load a naked, unnamed Bob in their place as a failsafe. This was likely a dummy NPC used for testing reasons.
