A little girl in my 4th grade class came up to me after recess and said, “I got married at recess!” and I said “Oh? I didn’t know anyone was ordained under the age of twelve.” and she asked me what ordained meant and I explained and then she said “Oh, well, no, my wife and I were married by the slide, but we’ll be happy together anyway.”
So apparently on school playgrounds, slides are already legalizing same-sex marriage.

I decided at some point subconsciously to do this and whenever we have higher ups in at work it weirds everyone out because I don't freak out that they're there and I just say like "you alright?" to them like I do with any other colleague, because they're PEOPLE. Maybe I should just move to Australia
Foreigners tend to assume that the big cultural confusions between Australians and most other countries are gonna be based on our food, or social services, or weather, or weird animals. But it’s never that. In my experience, the real cultural confusions re: Australians are about The Respect Thing almost one hundred per cent of the time.

I want to be back here because I miss blogging.
Like Twitter, but with more characters. Like Facebook, but where you find your people instead of just uncomfortably opening your insides to your coworkers. Like Tiktok, but without all the hassle of making a video and just typing stuff. And a bit of anonymity would not go amiss.
So, Tumblr, then, except it's been left to rot and everyone left.

if anyone is still out there, my best advice is
just move a little.
You don't have to go for a walk if depression or long covid or lockdown won't let you. If you have to be in bed all day, can you wiggle your toes? Can you gently kick your legs in the bath and pretend you're swimming? Can you wave your arms around to some music while you sit against your pillows? Can you nod your head?
if you're anything like me, you've been still for too long. Have a stretch. Have a wiggle.

I'm not sure if I'm still on this blog anymore. Winter has been HARD, friends.
The short version of it is I saw all my partners properly for Christmas after some strict quarantining, along with one partner's partner who... oh god I don't even know where to begin. The meta turned out to be actual evil, I'm down two partners but then up another one possibly in part down to that whole mess and... I don't know, man. Fuck covid. Fuck trauma. Fuck transphobes.
I had a tiny experience with some slightly naughty drugs and my depression and PTSD have massively improved, I'm not saying take drugs okay, no that would be irresponsible, but fuck, I haven't had this much brain clarity in a year or more, and the drugs were weeks ago.
Is anyone else still here? How are you all getting on?

might be controversial but idc y’all have to stop this culture of making women feel bad for being attracted to men. just stop it. i can’t listen to more women say “i really like this man ugh it’s disgusting” like no it isn’t. that’s just internalized misogyny and so many other women say it like we have to feel embarrassed of it and i’m sick of it!!
instead of holding men accountable for being shitty, now women are supposed to feel bad for being attracted to any man? no. you are not at fault for being a woman who likes men and if anyone tries to make you feel bad abt it then dead them fr just attack them 😐 enough with self-deprecation

i know “go be in the Trees and your depression will be fixed” is bullshit. but honestly i think a lot of things would be a little better if we spent more time with things like dirt and small streams and leaves. when you’re inside it’s easy to forget how raw and elementally wondrous the world is. how many colors there are and types of crunches that leaves make, and how many living things. how many things have smells and how different they all are.
It’s really like, youll see a large flock of birds take flight with a FWOOM of wings exploding all at once and it’s like. this is the largest emotion I have ever felt

Me and my partner/meta have the same name. We deal with it by being a double act, using last names a whole lot, and by people saying "no, the other one" to clear up what they mean. We make it work.
What do you do if you’re dating two people with the same name? How do you keep it straight? I’m in a relationship with one Joe and have started dating another Joe, and it’s so confusing and awkward!

[ID: four screenshots from the series Daybreak, picturing the following dialogue between a group of five dudes in golf shirts (golfers) and Josh Wheeler, the protagonist of the series.
Josh, introducing himself: Josh.
Golfers: Tennis Josh?
Josh: No.
Golfers: Little Josh with the big truck?
Josh: No.
Golfers, visibly confused: Gay Josh or Other Gay Josh?
Josh, exasperated: Just Josh, okay? You guys don't know me.
End ID]
Sorry, but that's hilarious XD
Serious answer: pick nicknames. Consider picking nicknames for both of them so that you don't have one guy who "gets" to keep his name and the other doesn't.
Unless of course one already has a nickname and doesn't care if the other one keeps his... government alias.
As always, communicate. Talk with them about what solution they would prefer. I imagine with a name like Joe, they have run into the problem before and have a preferred way to handle this.
(And please update me xD)

things I like about myself:
-when my hair is short and my natural colour I look kind of like Peter Pan -I put every ounce of energy I have into not letting my mental health problems or trauma impact anyone else -I dress like the uncoolest kind of enby and I love it -I understand a whole lot of what my dogs try to tell me -I’m completely free of gender -I find joy in little things like flowers and blankets and car rides and unexpected chocolate -even though my memory is really poor I try really hard to remember what’s important to other people -I set boundaries even when it’s scary to
okay that was hard but I’ll try to add more later

"I'll walk with you" is just an excuse to spend more time with someone before they go and that's romantic as fuck
