A glimpse from a fairy-tale: Snow-White-Bohun and his beloved Kniaziówna
Beautiful photo, taken on the “With Fire and Sword” set.
Last week of October 1997.
The open-air museum in Zubrzyca Górna (Poland).
@wanderer-on-the-steppe, some Show-White Cossack Princess Beauty specially for you! If you need something today, here we are, waiting (I'm this Cossack hidden beyond Damar).
From my old collection of press cuttings/photographs from the Polish Press (1997–1999). It is a fan account. I don’t benefit from it. Copyright belongs to the Photographer (unfortunately, I don't know the name). I'm praising here the character (Bohun) only, not the actor playing him in the film.

Merry Christmas!
vintage Polish Christmas card depicting a family sharing the Christmas wafer
On Christmas Eve (Wigilia) we wait for the first star in the sky to start the celebration. We read a Gospel passage about the Nativity of Jesus, then we take the wafers, say our best wishes and blessings for each other, break off a piece of each other's wafer and eat it. After that it's time for the Eve Supper with 12 traditional dishes but no meat or alcohol as it's not Christmas yet.
There's always one place at the table left empty for a weary traveler who might want to join us, so we're ready when he knocks on our door.
