We wanted to thank everyone again for your participation in Platinum Weekend! 

We’ve been working on tallying the amount of posts, and we’re so proud to announce that we broke 200 submissions! This is an amazing accomplishment and all because of you guys and the incredible content you submitted.

Additionally, our winner for the Vinyl Awards Challenge is @my-name-is-lumien! To make sure we achieved a random outcome, we used wheelofnames.com to select our winner, and you can view the recording of this process here. As a reminder, each Vinyls-related post that was submitted tagged #vinylawardschallenge was entered to win.

Hi, everyone! I wanted to share a quick update to let you know that we’ll be selecting a winner for the Vinyl Awards Challenge once Blades Appreciation Week is over (after next week). 

Our mod Jade is pretty busy working on getting things ready for #BladesAW, but once she’s free again we’ll have a winner to announce and coordinate with for their prize.

Favorite thing about platinum week?

vic: personally i think it was a huge success !! we had so many amazing submissions from all corners of the fandom so in that regard i think it was great. i definitely didn’t think we’d get as much content as we did just because platinum is one of the older, less popular books, so i was blown away by how successful it was for sure. i would ABSOLUTELY host any other appreciation event with jade and pj anytime, they were the most wonderful co-mods i could ever ask for and made hosting this event so much fun and a dream, so definitely !! like the virgos we are we are already kicking around possibilities LMAO. my favorite thing was probably all the amazing art !! it’s been awhile since we got new platinum art so that was a treat for sure.

jade: first of all this is so sweet thank you SO much for sending this to us !!! i think it was really successful, because our goal was to get people excited about platinum and revive the tags as much as we could, and i think we did that and so much more!! oh my gosh YES this was more successful than i thought – i was secretly pretty scared people would forget about it but so many people turned it out and it warmed my heart :’) YES ABOUT THE MODS – vic, pj, and i were good friends before we even bounced ideas around ab the event and we’ll be friends long after, so it’s part of why it worked so well for us i think?? it was less an event, more of a big hangout! LMAO but yes omg i would host literally anything with them. omg i loved everything ab platinum week but if i was forced to choose, it’d be the vinylawardschallenge i think?? (it was my brain child so i was so excited for it) everyone turned it out with the submissions !!! <3

pj: i think it was incredibly successful!! i wasn’t expecting such a huge turnout because i feel like a lot of people don’t talk about platinum that often, but it was something we wanted to do for so long so we did it anyway and i’m so glad we did because seeing everyone come together and produce content was such an amazing feeling so yeah i would say it was definitely more successful than i thought it would be!! and most definitely, vic and jade my girls even beforeee platinumweekend i would definitely do something with them again!! as for my favorite part, i would definitely have to say either avery day (listen... i romance everyone but avery will always be my endgame <3 ) or the playlists!! i love playlists and we got sooo many goods ones! thank you for this ask <3

a/n: what if, right jus hear me out, what if… shane and mc never confessed their feelings in platinum and they were still pining for each other 👀 and what if it took a lil… baecation vacation to get them to cave 😏 

“It’s been so long since we’ve been able to do something like this,” Ascendance said with a blissful sigh, removing the shades from her eyes and perching them on the top of her head. She closed her eyes as she soaked in the sun, the smile that took over her features never leaving her face. She had just finished working on her junior album after having released her sophomore album earlier that year, and as a treat, Fiona finally agreed to her request to go off the grid for a quick vacation. It was well-deserved: everyone had been working their asses off to make Wilshere Records a success. Between Ascendance’s albums, Avery’s first self-written album, Raleigh switching over to the label, and all the other new artists they’ve been mentoring and managing, the past few months have been quite the whirlwind. Similarly, Shane, who had been working on gigs and projects nonstop, needed the break as well, and he couldn’t refuse when Ascendance pulled up on him with two plane tickets.

“You, me, the beach, and mimosas. You in?” she had asked him eagerly, a couple of days before they were supposed to leave.
