(LISTEN to me, zag. LISTEN to me. this is a JOKE. this is a CRACK prediction of where season 4 is headed. this isn’t an ACTUAL prediction. you hear me? this isn’t… ACTUALLY what i think is going to happen. because it wont. …right? right????)
Can we talk about how this episode full of pain and sadness for Adrien ended with him laughing at Plagg (the only one, you'll recall, who can make him laugh like that) and his cheese-related ridiculousness?
It's been a long time since we've heard Adrien really, truly laugh. It's a shame those moments are always fleeting.
I wanted to end this by saying that I'm so glad Adrien and Plagg have each other, and it's true, but that led me back to Adrien's words at the beginning of the episode about not being needed anymore. And the thought of him living a life without Plagg in it, with no more tiny cat god shenanigans, no more belly laughs...it's too much.
I want more of this. My precious cat son deserves more of this.
Plagg doesn't know Ladybug's plans any more than Adrien does. And it kinda doesn't matter to him. His top priority is being with Adrien. They have become each other's ride or die.
Come on, Plagg. It's time to think about our future.
Our future. Adrien has one solid relationship that he counts on to be there for longer than the next few moments. One.
Of course Marinette and Tikki are similarly dedicated to each other, but Tikki is inclined to make friends when she can by default. Not so with Plagg. Marinette has a support system. Even if she's keeping things from her parents they are there for her. Not so with Adrien.
What Plagg and Adrien have with each other is special, and I'm so thankful for it.
