one thing i adore about kaladin is that while he's nineteen when the story starts, he's got the soul of a crotchety old man. he complains about the new fad street food lopen passes to the bridge crews. he thinks eating while walking is rude. he unironically says 'Bah!' when he's annoyed.

I hate when I'm getting into a new fandom and I meet The Blorbo and I have to grudgingly concede that they are great. Like, yeah, y'all were right about Kaladin Stormblessed.

szeth is all like "I hate killing people. I hate myself for killing people. Why must I kill people all the time" and then every time he fights it's the most elaborate fight scene ever. There is ONE GUARD and he lashes him upwards, binds him to the ceiling, puts his own spear under him, and then waits for the lashing to run out so the guard falls down and is impaled. and every fight scene is like that. if you think murder is morally wrong why did you do that to him

All problems in the Stormlight Archive could be solved by giving Renarin a sniper rifle at the beginning of the books and letting his visions and Adolin's immaculate people-sense guide it.

The main reason I want a live action Stormlight adaptation is for the edits.

I keep thinking about that one scene with Adolin and Sadeas. My man's like "Mwahahaha! You are powerless to stop me, Adolin! I will continue to undermine your father despite all that has happened! My plan is perfect! You and your bridgemen are nothing but dust under my boot! And the best part is I can gloat about it to you as much as I please in this here abandoned alleyway with absolutely no witnesses!"

Kaladin is my favorite character because hes 6’8, hopelessly heroic, probably one of the strongest characters in the story that isnt a deity, is always looked up to and seen as an AMAZING dude
